“a must”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 24, 2010

Provisions is a great restaurant and a must each time we visit the Cape. The menu has a great selection of appetizers, salads, sandwiches and entrees. All items we have had have been excellent from the goat cheese and marinara fondue, the brushetta, the prime rib sandwich, the ahi tuna and filet mignon. Check out their website for the menu. You will find it mouthwatering. Keep up the good work and we love the new location.

“Good food but spotty service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 18, 2010

Arrived around 9pm on a weeknight; large group finishing dinner but not overly crowded. Waitress seemed distracted but did recommend evening specials which were very good though it took almost 30 minutes to arrive.

“They used to be good”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 6, 2010

Restaurant USED to be on Williams, but has relocated to Reid Ave in Port St Joe....next to Peppers....which might be the better choice.

We arrived at about 5:00 and were seated out front. Apparently, they wanted us to be able to watch and hear them get ready for the evening shift. "Will you work for me tomorrow...set up the menu board...the computers are not working...," all employee conversations we were unwillingly made party to. There were two of us seated and about 5 employees having conversations. BTW, we were the ONLY customers at the time. It is a good thing because despite being the only people in the joint, it took 30 minutes to get the food to the table after ordering. The pasta dish was pedestrian at best; the filet was ordered medium rare, but the too well marbled piece piece of meat arrived way over on the rare side.

I've always enjoyed their lunches at their former location. Possibly, they are still in the moving process as indicated by their employees milling around (us) carrying on loud conversations. We'll give them a year or so to get squared away before spending money in there again.

“Delicious Chicken Piccata”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 23, 2010

We decided to eat at Provisions in downtown Port St. Joe when the Mexican restaurant next door had a waiting list and people crowded outside. I'm glad we did! The restaurant was cool and quiet, service quick and friendly, and the food was great.

I'm not a big fan of fish, but the seared Ahi tuna with wasabiyaki sauce was good, my salad was full of chopped veggies (rather than just lettuce) and grilled chicken with a light viniagrette, and the chicken piccata was exactly what my tastebuds were craving. Dessert was "death by chocolate," a layered confection of cookie crust, fudge, mousse and whipped cream.

Overall, I was very pleased with dinner. For two of us, with one appetizer, one "petit" salad, two entrees, one dessert and two iced teas, the bill was around $60.
