Cracker Creek provides a great "Old Florida" experience. See manatee, alligators, birds of many kinds in the wild. Rent a kayak to get the full enjoyment. And do not miss the best breakfast in Volusia County. You sit outside under an open pavilion with a bon fire. Breakfast is only served on Saturday and Sunday but very much worth the trip in itself. We live just a boat ride away and we go there at least monthly to entertain friends and relatives. Family Friendly

Wonderful trip on the creek, a real hide-a-way. Worth the visit for sure. Great place to bring children to see the inside of Florida.

Right into old Florida! Lots of wildlife. Turn right from the launch site and you get to wander into untouched waters and the adventuresome are able to work your way in quite a ways! Turn left from the launce site and you are able to go on for several hours. More open waters in this direction. Also do check out the mini restaurant. Great food at a good price.

Cracker creek is a great local place for kayaking. There's picknic tables and food there too but we go for the exercise and scenery.

As native Floridians who now live elsewhere, we were very happy to find Cracker Creek and the opportunity to visit the wilderness of "old Florida" so close to beach. This is a great place for families who have had enough of the beach and typical tourist activities and would like to get away for a day of fun and educational activities. We took the waterway tour and found it to be very informative - we saw Manatees and other wildlife (including the pet peacocks running around the property). The whip demonstration was also interesting. They also have canoes, kayaks, and hydrobikes for rent and we plan to make use of one or more of these crafts to explore Spruce Creek on our own during the next visit. We understand that during weekends, there is an open air cafe.
