“A Hidden Restaurant Treasure!”

This was a referral from friends in the area! Once we found the location, it's a casual "order from the window" experience. However, the outside eating made for great entertainment as we watched boats come in with fresh fish from a long day of fishing and pelicans galore waiting for the goods to be dished out! The wait staff was friendly and though I'm not a huge fan of seafood... would definitely eat here again!

“Always a WINNER!”

We have been going to DJ's for years and you can always count on the great food and friendly staff. You have to know where you're going since this place is tucked away under a bridge, but don't that keep you from exploring what they have to offer. We've eaten at several of the local joints, but DJ's is the BEST! Great place to sit outside and enjoy a sunny afternoon watching the sea birds and fishermen coming and going. If you're going for lunch or dinner you might have to wait to place your order - but the turn around is quick once you get the order in. We're hooked on the fish sandwich any way the offer it. Blackened, grilled or fried - you can't miss with this one. And I'm not a big 'fried' fish fan, but their breading is very light and doesn't overpower the fish. If you're dining as a couple - one order the basket and the other just the sandwich as they have plenty of fries and a couple hush puppies (yum)! Great time is always had at DJ's.

“Fishalicious!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 14, 2013

My husband and I own a small vacation home in Daytona. We absolutely love D.J.'s deck. It is a family friendly fishing "shack" with an awesome view. The staff is friendly and you can't beat watching the fishing boats come in while you eat.
Try the seafood gumbo. It is award winning and delicious. My husband loves the tuna or catch of the day fish sandwich. I love the oysters and always get them lightly steamed. For an appetizer, try the fish dip. it is neck and neck with my other favorite fish dip at Islamorada Seafood Company in the Keys. King's seafood is next door and convenient if you want to take some seafood home for another night. The only down side is when there are special events (bike or race week) the lines are long to order your food. Table service is inside-without the view.

“Casual place for good seafood and great view”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 14, 2013

Have been coming here annually for the past few years. Our kids really enjoy the outside seating and seeing the water, pelicans, boats, etc. It is kind of a bar scene, which as a young family we don't really get into, but we have felt totally comfortable. If you like seafood, it is very good and their team of servers are very attentive and helpful. One of the better seafood joints in the area.
