Great casual dining at the marina. Great service by all. Good food esp the board specials. Gotta try the famous garlic bread. Good prices. Good find.

Took my family of 8. Atmosphere was good - just as we wanted. Service was horrible. Waitress was not friendly, did not advise of specials written on a small slate board. When we noticed the small special list and asked about it, she did not elaborate. Had to continuously request items and had to constantly look for someone to ask for refills.
Shame on me for ordering paella from a seafood place. There was no saffron flavoring, the seafood was over cooked and rubbery. Never had a plate of paella served with what appeared to be a can of stewed tomatoes dumped over the top of the rice. The New England clam chowder soup was less than desirable. My mother ate the basso fish - which was very mushy. Two of my children (21 years old) had the captains platter and also said the seafood was over cooked. Overall - will not return.

We have been vacationing in the Dayton area for many years. Someone suggested that we try Boondocks. It's a nice casual, open air restaurant right on the Marina, perfect after a day on the beach. The atmosphere is casual and the service is quick and efficient. The food and drinks are reasonably priced. Kids love feeding the catfish in the water. I loved the cold beer, spicy steamed shrimp and service.

We loved the location on the water and the fun, family atmosphere. Service was prompt and very friendly. But the food disappointed us all: both the mahi-mahi and masa were pretty tasteless, as were the fries. We won't be back.

If your looking for white tables cloths and fancy service this is not the place for you. If your looking for great comfort food,a fun place to meet friends and have fun this is the spot.
Mostly seafood but there are a few land lover dishes. The food, drinks and atmosphere are all great and fun. Sit at a picnic table, great friendly service good size portions and food that allows you to walk away full while still wishing for more. The Conch Chowder is a must try, a little spicy but great favors.
