“Very relaxing”
Reviewed April 27, 2014 via mobile

Very relaxing walk through the gardens. It is beautifully laid out. Not much in bloom while we were there, but that didn't really matter. Very interesting information on the sugar mills history. It's free and has a nice parking lot right across the street.

Cute little side trip if you are in the area. They have old concrete dinosaurs in the back. Beautiful flowers and butterflies.

“Great garden and sugar mill history”

Nice garden to walk around. Nice and cool on a sunny day. History buffs will enjoy the sugar mill building. Lots of native place to see. Plenty of parking.

“A really fun place”
Reviewed April 14, 2014

It's off of the beaten path. I enjoyed the quiet and the memories of those dinosaur parks. It is beautiful. You walk along and then a dinosaur will be there.

“Beautiful Gardens”
Reviewed April 13, 2014

Sugar Mill Botanical Gardens is off the beaten path and feels like a world away. It's peaceful, shady and full of different types of plants, birds and butterflies. Nice leisurely stroll with plenty of benches spaced out just perfectly for birdwatching. It's free and operates off of donations. Husband and I stayed in St. Augustine, FL for a few days and made a day trip to Daytona. Found the gardens online and wanted to check it out. So glad we did! Bongoland dinosaurs and Dunlawton Sugar Factory were very interesting. There's no way I can post all of the pictures taken but know that this is a great place to unwind and to be in touch with nature. The vast variety of plants is simply awesome!
