Living in Pittsburgh our entire life and knowing the owners are from there, we had to try a dinner at Giuseppe's Steel City Pizza. We (3 adults) started with 10 hot wings and the bread sampler combo. The wings were cooked perfectly and saucy (the hot was medium hot so if you really like hot, get the X hot) and the bread sampler was HUGE, 16 pieces of different garlic type breads with sauce for dipping. Then we had the large crispy chicken salad with house-made creamy Italian dressing (usually wouldn't get creamy Italian dressing but it was fabulous!), a calzone and a Stromboli, both were huge and packed with toppings. The food was good quality (not great but very good) everything tasted fresh. We also had fresh brewed ice tea and 3 (22oz) cold draft beers. Our bill was $58 plus tip.
The positives: freshly cooked food, great waitress, liked the interior memorabilia of Steelers and Pirates, large parking lot, cold drinks and TV's with various sports stations.
The negatives: (in our opinion...) outside appearance needs a coat of paint and the side deck replaced and weeds/ landscaping redone...if we wouldn't have seen the good reviews on Tripadvisor we would have changed our mind about having dinner here.
Also...not that the owners can do anything about this one...the customers that ate here this Friday night 1) let their kids "run the house" running around others tables, booth, screaming, acting up which really made it difficult to have conversation with others at the table. 2) customers on their cellphones talking VERY loudly, just having normal every day conversations that they could have had after dinner.
I think the inexpensive price point of this restaurant draws family-kid friendly and/or adults looking for "cheap eats". Either of these "crowds" we are not interested in... If these few negatives, you don't see as negatives...then you'll love it.
