We had an expiring Groupon so wanted to make sure we used it. We were a little concerned when the waitress introduced herself as Holly after I read a recent negative review about her, but all went well. We decided on the rock shrimp appetizer, crab soup, blackened fish sandwich and the blackened fish chimichanga. Everything came out in a timely fashion and was delicious. Holly was very attentive and did a great job working with the kitchen staff to check for lactose in my dishes. My husband really adored the chimichanga. It's a huge dish so if you're thinking about getting it, avoid any appetizers! We'll be back.

We had supper here last night. The food is unique and beautifully presented. All the dishes were superbly made starting with the house salad and the soup of the day. The latter was a surprisingly delicious blend of roasted red peppers, cream and chicken. We had the Green Tomato tower accompanied by a grilled slice of portabello topped by cheese grits and perfectly prepared fresh green beans, The crispy skin salmon with mussels and risotto was equally outstanding. Impeccable service was provided by Holly. We will return.

We decided to try this restaurant based on Trip Advisor’s high rating. The food did not disappoint, but the service, in our case, was unacceptable.

We had purchased a $30.00 Groupon that we presented to our waitress, Holly, at the top of the meal. She wrote the number on her pad and indicated she would make sure the discount was applied upon checkout.

We started with two cocktails that took 12 minutes to appear. The bar was about 15 feet away and not busy at our 5:30PM dining time.

Holly took our order for appetizers and entrees when she delivered the drinks. I ordered the Florida Corn and Crab Soup Topped with Garlic Chive Oil and Fried Okra for $5. This was an excellent dish. The wife went for the House Salad composed of Mixed Greens, Fresh Strawberries, Chopped Mint, Candied Pecans and Bleu Cheese with Strawberry and Balsamic Vinaigrette for $7 and it was declared a winner.

For our entrees we went with the Chicken and Waffles (Revisited) Corn Flake Crusted Split Chicken, paired with Sweet Potato Waffle, Brussels Sprouts Cognac and splashed with Peppercorn Mélange Syrup for $17. This was just OK mainly because the chicken was a tad overdone and dry. The wife tried the Shrimp and Grits consisting of Blackened Shrimp over Tasso, Green Onion and smoked cheddar Grits, finished with a Meyer Lemon Buerre Blanc for $24. The shrimp were perfect and the dish as a whole worked. We are used to ordering this dish in Savannah where the spice temperature tends to be a little more ramped up. Maybe the chef is catering to the older crowd with a milder offering.

We would have enjoyed the dinner more if the pacing had been accurate. The first course took about 15 minutes to arrive. The second course arrived 5 minutes later. Poor service strikes again.

I gave Holly our credit card when the entrees were delivered. She returned at the conclusion of the meal with the bill for my signature. The bill was for $84.93. She did not present an itemized copy of the bill until I expressed concerned about the amount. She never applied the Groupon and she overcharged for the glass of wine my wife ordered. I asked for a manager and he took manners into hand and made the corrections.

Holly needs some more training or maybe a new job. We will be back and make sure we get somebody with experience to handle our order.
