“............. THE CAMP GROUND FROM HELL..........”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 6, 2013

I rated the camp ground a three, because of location and apperence was nice. Getting to the problem. The Owner Brian was very threading he got me to fear for my life..... As I payed by the mounth... He got involved in our relationship with my girl friend and me.. It was the phone ringing all night that bothered me..... I felt more in a war zone then I did in Viet Nam... His publick out Burst of of his uncrolable behaiver was unexceptal and discraseful...I contribute our break up to Brian..... And I wish them both the best. The employes were very good and could not do enought for you, So I thank all of them.

The campground itself is very average. Small sites, very close together. I've stayed here three times, two of those times during Biketoberfest. The first two times were very uneventful. The pool is nice and clean and so are the showers. The staff are very friendly but I have nothing nice to say about the owner and the manager. If you don't mind staying in a concentration camp with many rules this place is perfect for you.

Room Tip: They are all back in sites

It is a nice KOA. The tent sites are nice and shaded and pool and laundry room are nice. Bathrooms are okay. We camped in an RV. The RV sites are pretty close together and most of them have a neighborhood/houses on each side. At some of the campsites you can see in neighbors yards. Other campsites are better because they have a fence between the campground and the neighborhood. Not all sites have sewer or concrete pads. Liked that they included cable-lots of channels. Grounds are well maintained and nice staff. They pick up your garbage at your campsite everyday. We were in town for the Daytona 400 races. Campground is only 20 minutes from Daytona International Speedway and 15 minutes from the beach. It is in a nice area and convenient to grocery stores and shopping.

Grass in tent area was not mowed. Fabric shower curtains to cover the bathroom and shower doors would go a long way, or even plastic ones that fit. The store closed too early at 6. Tent campers could be spread out instead if being placed right next to each other in an empty campground. Bathroom needs to be treated for ants and sewer flies. Overall, not so great.

About all it had going for it was the location.

We were pretty skeptical about taking our toy hauler camping in Daytona Beach during Bike Week. We had heard stories about wild goings-on at the campgrounds all around Daytona...we were impressed with Daytona Beach KOA from the moment we arrived ~ in the POURING rain. A man was outside to greet us - complete with raincoat! Then, TWO people on golf carts showed us to our site and were so glad my boyfriend knew how to back-in our 40' RV! But, had he appreciated the help of these two men ~ they knew EXACTLY what to do to park each and every person there! And the campground was FULL...not only with campers, but also with motorcycles, towing trucks and trailers, too! We already made our reservation again for next year! Super nice folks ~

Excellent service! The people are great. Internet was supposed to be available only at front desk, but Internet was available all aroung the campground. That was a great thing for us! The site is just 10 minutes away from the beach.
