I have eaten in many Mexican restaurants, in the states and in Mexico...and I was not impressed with the food, and definitely not impressed with the service. There were 2 of us, and we did not have to wait for a table, although the parking lot was mobbed. I ordered the Sincronizada, which was good and well stuffed. The tortillas, however, were kind of tough...maybe from over grilling?? My companion wanted tacos and we had a difficult time trying to find out what the differences were. The waiter became very impatient. We finally ordered regular old beef tacos. When asked if they had a milder salsa we were told yes, he would bring some. The bus boy came out with an enchilda sauce that was vile. When we asked our waiter if this was the milder salsa, he got really annoyed, reached across the table and slammed down the ketchup bottle in front of my companion.
Some of the problem may be that they do not have total command of the Englush language, but the waiters really should be fluent in English, and will need to be if this place is to succeed. But, regardless, in any language...rude is rude!! I for one am not planning on going back. This is a SERVICE industry, and the service left much to be desired.

Good food. Ok chips and salsa.
Service. Slow and inconsistent. Margaritas. Don't order the house margarita. They are pre-made and are not good at all. Order a topshelf one. The house margarita really should be good, but they are not.

This restaurant fills a void in the Port Charlotte area. While not the only Mexican restaurant in town, they've managed to set themselves apart. The fresh guacamole made table-side is indicative of their innovations. Another is the Chamorro Adobado, Lamb Shank covered in Adobado sauce. The portions have to be more that adequate, even when ordering off the lunch menu. A nice twist is the wait staff uniforms, all black with red ties. Even if there is a bit of a language problem, it's easy to cope with with a little patience. On each of our visits, we were very pleased with their attitude and attentiveness. We will definitely be returning, despite the parking problems. A small price to pay for such delicious food. I hope their here to stay.

10 adults & 3 kids went there for a birthday, everyone enjoyed the food & service was great. They were very busy and none of us had any complaints. Enjoyed them coming to our table and making fresh guacamole too!! The only down side, the parking is not good, very tight.

Have waited for this restaurant to open after taking over a sushi buffet location on busy US 41. Despite a nice remodel -- especially the wrap around bar that replaced the actual buffet -- a wooden pagoda remains as a reminder of the old restaurant.
Despite another Mexican restaurant in Port Charlotte, and one just a few miles south over the bridge in Punta Gorda, based on a Thursday night, there's obviously room for one more.
The good sized place was packed and people were standing outside waiting for tables. Big problem here is parking. There isn't much in a small adjacent lot, so people were parked literally off the side of this busy highway. NOT GOOD!
Despite the crowd, service was more than acceptable. Menu is huge, prices reasonable (most dishes are around $12) and servings are large -- amost a requirement to be successful in this area.
Margaritas are large, but the House Margarita ($6.25) didn't seem to have much tequilla in it. A number of Mexican beers are on draft.
As for the food, highlights are the free thin, not too salty warm chips, refried beans, rice and homemade fresh guacamole prepared tableside with ingredients to order ($6.49).
On the downside, there's WAY TOO MUCH SALT on many meat entres.
Next time, we might try sitting at the bar with a Dos Equis amber, some guac & chips and a cheese enchillada, hopefully that's not too salty!
