“A quiet place to catch some rays”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

Absolutely LOVE this park. The parking is very reasonable and plentiful. Even when it's "crowded" there is plenty of space to set up a chair and enjoy the beach. If you aren't a beach person, there is a swimming pool, horseshoes, Bocce, basketball, tennis, picnic area, even a kayak and canoe rental. It is dog friendly, although they are not allowed on the beach itself.

“Not worth the time”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

Unless you are looking for any place that has sand and water, you will probably be disappointed here. The sand is dirty, the water is brown (or, at least was when I was there), the beach is not wide, and there are bugs. There is a pool there, but I have never used it. There is a fee for parking, which is ridiculous!

“Great Place To Watch The Sunset!”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

Being that I live by this beach, it's a great place to watch the sunset over the Gulf of Mexico.
It's very relaxing to walk on the beach to meet nice people from this area of SW Florida.

“A lovely quiet beach”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

Port Charlotte Beach Park has a lovely small beach, as well as a boat launch, fishing pier, swimming pool, shuffleboard courts, restrooms, large picnic area and playground, with ample parking. I have never seen it crowded and it is well maintained - a great place to take the grandchildren when they come to visit. The only fee is for parking. This is one of Charlotte County's hidden gems!

“Everything That You Would Expect”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

The park has everything you would expect to find in a park and maybe a little more. It features swimming, boating, a fishing pier, picnic tables, several ball courts for tennis and Bocce and often there is a hot dog vendor. An activity building is present that can be rented for meetings, weddings, etc. There is a parking fee of $2.00 unless you have a handicap sticker in which case it's free.

There are two places to swim. The pool is cozy and will cost you $2.68 to use it, or you can swim in Charlotte Harbor. The harbor is formed by the converging of the Peace and Myackka Rivers as they enter the Gulf of Mexico. It is brackish water and the home of many aquatic species that some people may not be comfortable with.

This is a great place where local people picnic, launch boats, fish and just get together. There is nothing really unique about it and probably not a "must see" for tourists unless they are in the mood for some swimming.
