Nice place

Great beach front resort. Older but very nicely updated. Resort is quite and the beach is beautiful two nice pools and great restaurants in the area. There’s a fun tiki bar at the resort next door that is open to the public an a short walk on the beach to get there

We found bugs in a glass in the sink. Told front office and they did nothing to come and get it. Said they would spray after we were gone from room. Vending machine with water didn't work the entire week we were there. The only time I used my credit card on the trip was for the credit card deposit and someone stole numbers and tried to pay their Verizon bill. Had to cancel credit card and get a new one.

I am so sorry you had a bad experience with us at La Costa Beach Club in Pompano Beach. We strive for you to have an excellent vacation so I truly apologize. I will be sure to find out what happened in regards to a bug in a glass. Our team should have taken care of that immediately. In regards to vending machines, we do not have any vending machines on property. I also want to apologize about your credit card being compromised. I will have our system looked into to make sure there are no issues. Again, I am so sorry for everything you experienced. We do hope you give us another chance in the future.

Been coming here for many years just to relax & unwind. If you are looking for a glamour & glitz beach resort, don't come here. The units are nice & clean. Some are right on the beach, others are pool side. It's really family friendly with a lot of cool places close by if you are looking for stuff to do: Goodyear Blimp launch site, drift fishing, casino, indoor flea market, Gumbo Limbo nature trail, Butterfly World, nearby fishing pier and beach park.

We used our RCI points and had a family vacation here. The check-in process was the first big let down. When we arrived in the afternoon, the person at the front desk had a sign in the window saying they'd be back 30 mins before the time we got there (so they were 30 mins late from taking a lunch break I guess) and the security guard inside the air conditioned office couldn't let us in there because of COVID precautions. My 2 kids were super, super hot while we stood in the parking lot with out luggage waiting for this person to return. He had called her but she still hadn't shown up. I didn't know if she ever would and started thinking about how nice the Marriott next door looked if we couldn't get in that day! There were 2 other guests also waiting to check in who had been there for an hour or so before we even showed up. They were also very hot and getting upset!!
Finally, the super rude front desk person shows up and doesn't even apologize or offer us water or anything. Neither did the security guard, for the record, even though it was like over 90 degrees and very humid in August!
The room was so-so. It was clean but not many windows so it felt like a dark basement apartment. The kitchen was nice. The shower heads were terrible.
The front desk basically makes you feel like you are inconveniencing them for anything, and they don't give you toilet paper or papertowels if your family goes through the rolls given at check in. They said it was due to "covid" but they certainly would charge you to buy some in the lobby.
Location: If you don't have a car, your options to eat are limited, but nice. The Marriott next door had a great little restaurant and the hotel is right on the sand of a lovely beach.
Overall, the location was great, except if you don't have a car and want to leave the beach. But the staff was rude and uncooperative and the room was like a 5/10.

Room tip: We were told only owners get those with a beach view

I booked an oceanfront room and what I got was a mountain sand view. Even though this a 7 story building, the receptionist was not able to change my room. Her argument was that this was a time share and the other rooms were booked by owners. I got a first floor and the view is terrible, honestly, this was not what I was expecting when you have to pay a lot more money for a room which is not different to other that didn’t pay what I did.
The room is fine and kitchen is well maintained.
If they advertise the real picture of what you are really renting I guess you will have happier customers. In my case, I’m a disappointed customer.

I am so sorry that you did you have the experience you expected. Although there were empty rooms, due to the fact that we are a timeshare resort, we cannot just use an owners room if they did not put that unit up for rent. An owner at any time throughout the week can come to use their owned unit as we are a fixed week property. We can only use certain rooms, at that time we did not have any other one bedroom ocean fronts available. In regards to the sand outside the resort, we unfortunately cannot touch it due to the vegetation and sand dunes being protected by the state. I truly do apologize for all that you experienced while you were here. I do hope you give us another chance in the future.
