“A hidden gem!”
Reviewed August 23, 2014

This restaurant looks very old. I personally thought that was what gave it that charm. We were on vacation and stumble upon this place. The owner and workers were very nice. We asked how long they were in business and they replied 29 yrs. I do know why they are still around, the food was delicious! We will defiantly go back whenever we go back to florida.

“Close your Eyes and Think of Duck!”
Reviewed August 13, 2014

When we first walked in, we were taken aback by the obviously seen better days ambiance: unattractive welcome station, 80's colors, and visible cheap fan. But wait, the service was attentive and friendly and better was yet to come: very cold beers and steamed dumplings as our appetizers. And then the Peking Duck, OMG, great duck! Will definetly take out or insane duck run!

“Great Experience!”
Reviewed July 23, 2014

We have eaten at this restaurant at least 20 times and we don't even live near it! We live 30 minutes away but choose this establishment when we want authentic Chinese food.
The food is fresh and flavorful, not always found in some Chinese restaurants. The staff is polite and friendly and remember us when we dine here. A few times they have even brought us items not on the menu! How many places do that?
Peking Duck is delicious and you don't even have to order 24 hours in advance because they serve so much of it. We sat near a man from Miami who says he drives up once a month from Miami (1 hour each way) because it reminded him of New York's Chinese restaurants.
We love this place! In the winter season, the place is packed.

“excellent, varietal, nostalgic”
Reviewed July 16, 2014

I can't imagine why so many diners complain about this place and assign it three stars or paltrier. The food is quite tasty and the overall experience is outstanding. This reminds one of the classic Long Island Chinese restaurants of the 1960s, where the walls were festooned with abalone shell collages, and landscapes of Guilin's limestone karst, and floor-to-ceiling dragons with phony rubies as eyes. The waiters here did everything but bang on a giant gong when the food was ready For delicious, strictly Cantonese cuisine--specializing in sizzling rice "wor ba" and good, old fashioned meat-and-vegetables combos (e.g., chicken with asparagus, shrimp with straw mushrooms), the food is delicious, if (necessary) salty. If you're under, say, forty years old, perhaps you shouldn't bother, and the visit will hold no nostalgia for you.

“I would not go there again”
Reviewed June 28, 2014 via mobile

The service was good, fast and courteous, the place is outdated and a little dark. The part that was really disappointing was the food, we ordered the orange chicken, Seshuan beef and Shirmp Cho mei and although the food was edible, it was not good at all. NO taste, nothing to remember, no reason to go back !! :(
