So I decide to go see a not so local Blues band I've been waiting to see when they played at Rip's. Off the corner of US1 and Copans, this place is a gem in the neighborhood. It's close by and although I don't care much for bowling, they get in some good bands and serve great food. Not typical of a bowling alley menu, Rip's stands alone from the alley as they have a full menu and a full liquor bar to match. They have an outdoor patio for the smokers so if you don't smoke like me the smell stays outside! I ordered the chicken quesadillas and it was a good sized portion enough to share with a friend. It was well made and not overcooked as I have had in other places recently. It isn't fancy but it's clean and the bartenders are friendly and quick. no waiting 15 minutes for a drink here. The bar is a large oval bar with plenty of tables and pool tables as well. They offer free parking outside which is always a plus although the parking does get crowded. All in all it's reasonable if you like a local place to listen to music.
