This hotel is an older property but it is kept up very well. The rooms are nice, clean and consistent for a Marriott. However, I was thoroughly impressed by the staff. Everyone was extremely nice, helpful and polite. I liked the size of the pool area. There were two pools, live music, hot tub and a poolside restaurant. Happy hour was a surprise and the food was interesting and good, Starbucks coffee served in the restaurant is a treat and free yoga on the beach is a nice touch. I was able to secure a room with my AAA discount that included breakfast each morning an umbrella and 2 beach chairs for two days. The valet parking fee is high at $27 a day, however, parking is a premium in this area so everywhere you go expect to pay,

I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend it.

Happy to have stayed at this Marriott property for a meeting, that also allowed me a few walks on the beach as well as right there!

Nice updated room, large bathroom with seperate shower, free wi-fi for Marriott Rewards Members, mini fridge in the room and balcony placed at an angle that gives everybody a view of the ocean.

Located on the beach, perfect for long walks.

The luncheon & dinner buffets in our banquet room were very good, creative and nicely presented.

I am looking forward to my next stay, thank you!

Room tip: All rooms have a good angled view of the ocean

My colleagues and I recently had to toughen it out and go to this hotel last week. It was a frigid 80 degrees upon arrival...an excellent staff awaited us and quickly, friendly and professionally got us situated into our luxuriously appointed rooms. The two days were filled with great weather, incredible food and first class service. Seemingly every associate of the hotel knew me by name despite checking in with one person. That is a sign of a great management company. My only complaint was my family wasn't able to share in such a wonderful stay.
Kudos Marriott, I eagerly await to return!

Room tip: I don't think there is a bad room there, maybe something facing the streeet?

After carefully reviewing hotels around Pompano Beach/West Palm Beach airport, our family of 5 selected this particular one. The deciding factor was their agreement to accommodate our family, 2 adults, 3 kids (2 of which were teenagers) with a rollaway bed in our room.

Since we were arriving after midnight, 10 days prior to our trip we contacted the hotel again to confirm our reservation WITH THE ROLLAWAY BED and inform them of our late arrival. Unfortunately, the night we arrived with 3 tired children at 2:30 am, the hotel was fully booked and they explained that they could NOT accommodate us with a rollaway bed as it was a fire hazard. Two times we contacted the hotel, twice they confirmed the rollaway bed, but on the night of arrival they suddenly could not. The manager did absolutely nothing! She claimed she would talk to the people we spoke with when confirming our reservations (yes, we were able to provide her with names) but of course this person denied ever confirming our reservation or rollaway bed request. It was suggested we just randomly made this up. I have never encountered such horrible customer service in all our travels. Not only will we never stay at this particular Marriott again but we won't consider staying at ANY Marriott if this is the type of customer service we can expect.

Thank goodness the Hilton DoubleTree in Ocean Point saved our vacation by not only accommodating us within an hour's notice but upgraded our family to a 2 bedroom suite. The Marriott should take a lesson from the Hilton's staff and operations. My husband travels for business Monday through Friday and has vowed to only stay at Hilton properties from now on after this horrible experience and will recommend the same for his colleagues. I cannot recommend enough, if you're looking for a hotel in Pompano Beach, Ft. Lauderdale area, DO NOT STAY HERE!

Thank you for your review of our hotel. Our reservation team remembers talking to you prior to your arrival for an extended period of time. She specifically pointed out to you that we are unable to provide additional bedding to a room that has 2 queen beds, since it is considered to be a fire hazard. I apologize for any miscommunication that might have taken place.

I stayed at this hotel again after a couple years. We had a nice room with ocean view. However the hotel had a different feel. Perhaps the enthusiasm of the initial opening had passed but it seemed that some employees while nice was going thru the motions. The restaurant including pool bar continues way over priced and the indoor restaurant other than the bar was often empty. On one night we were shown to a table and then abandoned by the staff for 20 minutes in a near empty room. The beach is still nice and there were more families with children then I remember. Overall a reasonable albeit expensive choice in Pompano beach

We are very pleased you had a nice stay with us and enjoyed your room with the view of the ocean and the beach. Our Restaurant offers indoor and outside seating. Based on the fabulous weather in Florida most guest will most likely enjoy the outdoor seating especially when visiting Florida coming from cooler climate.
