Ok, so let me start by saying that this is a brand new hotel so things will likely improve considerably in the coming weeks. The rooms are very nice and vert well acquainted. Mine had a view of the beach/ocean though it was not ocean front - with a nice balcony.
Employeees were friendly and wanted to help - especially the wonderful lady at the front desk from Korea. Used the fitness center and it was also very good. Now for the growing pains.
Valet parking is a steep $25 per day (no self park option) plus tips
Bar/restaurant is very brightly lit for evening hours - not condusive to relaxation
Outdoor jacuzzi was the same temperature as the pool - about 80 degrees. Should be 103F.
There were glitches where guests were asking me to let them back in the hotel due to security problems with the doors - I'm sure this will be fixed soon.
Coffee is Illy rather than Starbucks - a much weaker alternative.
So my overall view. This is and can be a very nice hotel - with a few adjustments and improvements. They are new so some will happen by default. Others we will have to wait and see. The room rate was very reasonable for an ocean view room - certainly one of this high standard. There are fridge's in the room and the bathroom is nice size also. Definitely a HUGE let up on the Residence Inn next door. For details, see my review on that property and you will understand why.
