We had a two bedroom suite. Very nice. It was very comfy and efficient for spending a week at Disney. Yes its a bit of a drive from the parks but no Disney resort would have given us that much space for that price. It was like having a nice apartment. I could wash clothes as needed. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The pool was nice and warm. Loved the large tubs. It was helpful having a full kitchen that we could prepare meals in since we only ate in the parks once. We never took advantage of the use of the grill though wish we had. Was nice having several tvs in the rooms since it rained each day. Very quiet. I would stay here again.

We had a two bedroom suite. One with two double beds, one with a King. Two baths - both with HUGE soaking tubs. The smaller bedroom with the two double beds had a small fridge in the closet. Check in was great. The staff was excellent. Very helpful and friendly. They provided lots of information about the area. They were always on hand if/when we needed something (fresh supplies for bathrooms, etc.). The pool was well maintained and wasn't overrun with people. It's a bit out of the way but not so far that it made a big difference. Lots of walking trails around (both paved and dirt). There is access to a local Y for those interested. Security was good. The rooms were clean and well stocked with towels, etc. All the appliances worked well and looked clean/new. There was a washer/dryer (which was convenient during our week-long stay). There were three flat screens in this unit. One in each bedroom and one in the living room. There was also a nice dining room. A screened in patio was just outside extra large (well secured) sliding doors off the living room. A little table and four chairs were on the patio. There is a Walgreens nearby if you need a few snacks or other items. There are several grocery stores and a Walmart close by as well. They have a grill on site for those who would like to use that option. The grounds were well maintained and it was a quiet stay.

I stayed here for a week with my wife and kids during a two week trip to the Orlando area. We exchanged a resort certificate we were given and at the time of booking it was the largest unit available without having to pay a large upgrade fee. Reading some of the reviews prior to going we were not sure what to expect but for the most part we were happy with the unit we received. We booked a two bedroom unit which is really a one bedroom unit with full kitchen and bath combined with a hotel lock off room with a bathroom and two full size beds. For the most part the unit was clean and well stocked having the kitchen and washer/dryer in the unit which was perfect for the traveling family. The biggest drawback is if you are in the area to visit theme parks this resort is a good 45 mins to an hour from Disney or Universal Studios, etc so be prepared to drive or look elsewhere to stay closer to the parks. We were given a room in Building 1 which put us closet to the pool. It appears they are doing some upgrades in stages as part of the room was tired while the bathrooms appeared to have been updated recently.

The two bedroom unit we booked provided everything a traveling family could ask for that will allow you to keeps the costs down since the full kitchen means you can cook meals vs eating out every meal and the washer/dryer allows you to pack lighter and have clean clothes throughout your trip. The master bedroom was basic with a king size bed, a lounge chair to sit on and older TV on top of the dresser drawer. The closet offered plenty of space and had a safe in it to store any valuables. There is a door off the room directly into the bathroom as well as another door directly onto to a screened in porch.

The living room and dining area were an open concept with a wet bar area and another older TV along with a love seat and pull out couch for the sitting area. Again you van access the porch from the living room through the sliding doors. The kitchen area is smaller but offers plenty of storage space and a full stocked kitchen with full size fridge, stove top and oven, microwave along with dish washer. The washer/dryer was in a closet in the kitchen. The counter top had seen better days but everything was very clean and well organized. The toaster appeared to be a brand new one that we were possibly the first ones to use it.

The second bedroom can also be a self contained unit with and inner access door that can be locked as well as a private outside access door to the 2nd room. This room also had a full bathroom along with the older TV and dresser drawers. The closet in the 2nd room had a mini fridge good for keeping drinks of small items cold and a coffee pot was in this room along with another coffee pot the main part of the full two bedroom unit.

While a majority of the units could use from refreshing it appears they are doing so as both bathrooms in our two bedroom unit appeared to have been updated. The tile floor and tiles around the tub/shower looked to be new as well as the counter top on the sink looked to be stone over the old linoleum counters in the kitchen. My wife loved the soaker tub in the bathroom as it seems it was brand new. The unit had carpeting throughout the unit but if they either updated the carpet or replaced it with tiles it would dress up the room so much. The furniture was older but comfortable and the beds did provide a good sleep with the only drawback were the pillows were a little thin for my tastes.

The grounds are fairly clean and the resort offers a good size pool and a small kiddies pool which is about a foot and a half deep just off building 1. There is also a playground area in the middle of the other buildings but we did not use this area. The pool is a basic rectangle pool with about 5ft at the deepest point. My daughter remarked how clean the water was in this pool compared to the other resort we stayed a week earlier when she was using her goggles under the water. The week we stayed there were times we were the only ones using the pool. We were in room 4 of building 1 so it kind of felt like we had our own private pool at time since we could walk out the back door from the screen porch and be in the pool within a few steps. The vegetation is developed so it seemed to help reduce some of the noise from the pool area.

Also the property offers several gas grills around the property to use. One of the grills was steps away from our back door so it was convenient to use. If you wanted to use the grill you needed to go to the front desk and get a key, a lighter and spatula from them so you can open the side door to turn on the gas so it can be lit. When you go to the desk to get a key to the BBQ’s they will keep one of your room keys until you return the key/lighter/utensils to them. Also at the front desk you can sign out pool towels. They will record your room number and how many towels you sign out and you can simply return and sign out fresh towels as much as you would like to do so while there.

Within about 3 min drive from the resort gate you can find your basic stores/eating places like a Publix grocery store, Walmart, fast foods like Burger King and such along with some local eateries and drug stores nearby and easy to access. Also there are a couple of golf courses and the Disney Nature Conservancy is about 5 mins from the resort. The Disney Nature Conservancy is an area of land that Disney obtained and donated to a local preserve to have a former ranch turned back into swamp and the natural Florida landscape. It is free to visit (donations are accepted) and the opportunity to see some local wildlife is present which can be a good way to break from the concrete jungle on the theme parks.

Overall this resort has some good points and some drawbacks but overall it was a good place to stay for a week since it provides a traveling family all the needs to keeps costs down and having the washer/dryer means we can pack lighter since we can wash our clothes. If you are traveling to the area to do things like golfing or wanting a central point to explore central Florida over things like going to the theme parks and are looking for a place near the Kissimmee/Orlando area but removed from the hectic tourist corridor then this can be a good choice. If your main reason for visiting is to take the kids to the theme parks then either be prepared to spend an hour to hour-in-half driving each way to the parks or look elsewhere closer to stay. Overall not a bad place to spend a week you just understand you will have to drive everywhere to get to the heart of the area attractions.

Our booking was for a room with a bath tub, we end up with a shower head and floor. Woke up the first night without AC, called the next morning and staff wanted to make repairs while we wait. Forget it, new room or nothing. No bathtub, no breakfast anywhere, nearest place was 20 miles away. Too small, fridge and glass ware in closet, full bed was sagging and lumpy. Wifi, up and down, gate code to pool did not work, if you like unconcerned staff and extra small rooms with dim lights and no tub, this is your place. I'll never go back. Don't forget the 39 dollar cleaning fee and 100 deposit, what a rip off.

Room Tip: Ask for a bathtub, seems they hide the good rooms for others. If you don't ask, they may leave...

WE enjoyed our stay at Alhambra a lot. We were there February 2013. It is a small time share rental place. The grounds are very well kept and our unit was VERY clean and roomy. The bathroom had been remodeled and had a huge, deep tub but not a jacuzzi. The towels were big and fluffy. The bedroom was large and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The kitchen was nicely stocked with utensils, pots and pans, etc. If we ran out of paper towels, toilet paper, etc. all we had to do was go to the office and they gave us EVERYTHING we needed including fresh bath towels. The pool area was small and VERY well kept. There are two tables with umbrellas and nice lounge chairs, they even give you pool towels. I loved having a washer and dryer in the unit and our screened lanai. I did not see one bug of any type anywhere in our unit or any place else on the property for that matter. I was not pleased with the wifi but they have since replaced it and it is now 21st century. It is rather far from most restaurants and the attractions (about 15 miles one way) and major thoroughfares but the area is growing by leaps and bounds so that will all change soon. There are 2 major superrmarkets and a walmart supercenter, walgreens, cvs plus several fast food resaurants within a mile or 2. The people in the office and the cleaning staff were exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable about where and how to get to al the attractions. I will gladly return. The other reviewers must have stayed at an alternate universe Alhambra.

Where do I start? The carpet and bedspread's looked dirty. The box spring had stains. The furniture was very old and had a white finish with "dimples". The raised parts were white but brown underneith. I used a lysol wipe and sure enough, the whole thing was white underneith the dirt. The beds squeaked so bad, you'd wake up the neighbour everytime you got in and out of bed. The door separating the units was thin with no weather stripping so we could hear Absolutely everything in the next unit and visa versa. You could even see in the door crack when they had the light on. The bathroom was renovated but the toilet wouldn't stop running and was very loud. They had the cheapest thinnest toilet tissue and facial tissue I've ever seen in my life. Not fit to use. They had raccoons in the area and we couldn't get up to our unit one night until one came down the stairs and went on it's way. Lizard's climbed the walls and we were worried they would get in our unit. Luckily they didn't get in. Some of the other buildings had screened porches. With the wildlife in Florida, they ALL need to be screened in! The air conditioner was rediculously loud and out dated. The plug was located behind the bed and didn't work even if you could safely plug something in there. So we had to plug the alarm clock in across the room and prop it up on some pillows so we could see it. The lamp, we had to plug in and place on top of the entertainment unit. The pool is located directly off a main highway. So even though there is a privacy fence, you have to walk to the pool on the side of the busy street. To top it all off, our room keys were deactivated one night early. We had to have security let us in. It's also very close to 2 fire stations so you hear sirens all night. I can't believe this place is associated with Wyndam. Never again! If I wanted to rough it, I would have stayed in a trailer.

Room Tip: Get a suite with a screened in porch that has been FULLY renovated.

I had called the front desk to inform them that we would be arriving late. One of our party was in emergency room and I explained I just didn't know what time we would arrive but that it would be late. The desk told me, Ok, I'll let the security guard know and just knock at desk lobby.. She said if he wasn't there to wait 15 minutes while security made his rounds. She said she would give him our name and he'd be looking for us. We arrived at 1am knocking atfront lobby. Knocked, knocked and looked around. We waited 50 minutes, there was no sign of any so-called security officer. Finally, at 2 am, we had to leave and go seeking a place to stay in Orlando in the middle of the morning. Very very disappointed with this experience. Called manager and she never called back to explain where security guard was, what happened. Anyone staying here and believing there is 24 hour security? This night, at any rate, major falsehood. We travel alot and had never experienced such deception and complete dissatisfaction. Do not stay here is all I can say.
