Sheraton Suites Fort Lauderdale Plantation
Ranked #2 of 14 Hotels in Plantation

Good convenient location for Plantation, Broward Mall, FLL airport, and Ft Lauderdale suburbs. Ample parking and helpful staff, but uninspired restaurant with very slow service.
Also, despite being "suites" - the kitchen facilities were very lacking. No sponge, no dish soap, no freezer compartment in the mini-fridge, no glasses or even plastic disposable forks/spoons etc.
Overall slightly better than average.

I really want to tell you that the employees at this hotel were very helpful every time I asked for help. They were wonderful when we had such a hectic trip and when we got there they treated us very respectful. They made me forget what horrible delays we had to go through. We had such a short trip in the first place but the flight was delayed and so on. When we arrived at this hotel the young employees helped us in every way they could. During our stay they answered any questions I had and being I am not use to traveling with my daughter on our own it was a lot of questions. They had no problem and they were very great in every respect.
I would reccomend this hotel to anyone because it makes a difference when you are treated with respect by the employees we weren't just answered with one word they really answered and was really wanting to help us. We were very pleased with our room as well. Very comfortable.
This hotel is very quiet and well taken care of. They have a wonderful staff who work with you and not against you. Thank you Sheraton staff we really do thank you for the wonderful stay.

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend while attending a conference. The room was very spacious and not at all expensive. The pool is on the top floor, where you can see downtown Ft. Lauderdale. It's close to the interstate, so not difficult to navigate to other areas. It's not far from the Hard Rock casino. The staff was very friendly and helpful during our stay. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel on 1/30-2/1. We booked through the hotels website at a discounted rate of $99.00 a night. We arrived after dark and found a place to park in the underground parking garage. This hotel is attached to a mall that is now vacant. There was only one person to check in people so we had to wait in line for about 10 minutes prior to checking in. Check in itself was a quick.
Our room was very nice. It had sliding doors that separated the bed from the living area and sliding doors that separated the bed from the area with the sinks. There are double sinks in this area - which made it really nice for the 2 of us. The toilet and tub/shower combination are in a separate room.
The room was clean and comfortable. There were 2 flat screen TV's in the room - one in the living area, and one in the area with the bed. There was also a wet bar, microwave and refridgerator in the room.
There are many stores and restaurants near the hotel. And the hotel is in easy driving distance from the airport.
Check out was also quick. Overall this was a nice hotel at a good price.

We recently stayed here for two nights. I would say that the hotel had some good and some bad points. The hotel itself was very nice. The suites were very clean and spacious. Also, we were able to get a very good price for a hotel of this quality. However, there are a few reasons why I would not give the hotel a higher rating. First, the pool is supposed to be heated, but it was much too cold for my children to swim in. That was really a shame because it is an absolutly beautiful pool. (The weather was sunny but just a bit cool, so it would have been nice if the pool truly was heated.) The hot tub was nice except that there were some uninvited neighborhood kids causing problems in the hot tub. Which leads me to my other problem with the hotel - Security. In addition to the problem at the pool, later that night a very loud group of middle school students checked in. They were extremly loud and unruly. Although security was called a few times, the noise contined through the night. I would also say the walls seemed paper thin as I could hear everything going on in the rooms next door. Finally, although the neighborhood around seemed safe, in order to get to the Ft. Lauderdale beaches you had to go through some neighborhoods that did not seem quite so safe. If I were to go back, I would spend the extra money and stay on the beach.

We selected the Sheraton Suites based on the many favorable reviews on TripAdvisor. I'm very glad we did, the property did not disappoint.

The check-in process on a busy Saturday afternoon could not have been easier. We had a very pleasant representative who tactfully enquired if we required the handicap room noted in our reservation. Thankfully, no one in our party of 3 required such accommodations (I still don't know how it got there). Given the demand for the handicap room, we were provided an upgrade to a king-bedded suite.

Upon entering, the suite appeared brand new. The kitchenette had a microwave, sink and refrigerator set in handsome cherry cabinets with granite counter-tops. The bathroom 'suite' had a large vanity with double sinks and a separate shower/toilet. The bedroom was a little cramped with a king bed but we were only staying 2 nights. It had an 'older' tube TV. The 'living room' had a very nice LG flat-panel TV, couch and chair. Everything was clean, and the room was well appointed with plenty of towels and great Bliss toiletries.

Breakfast was included in our rate. The buffet in the lobby restaurant did not have an over-abundance of selections but everything was freshly prepared.

We enjoyed cocktails at the smallish lobby bar both evenings. Again, they don't have 20 beers on tap or a 'deep' wine cellar but it was very enjoyable and more than adequate for our needs. Being from NY, we found the prices for premium liquor to be a steal, which was an added bonus for a hotel bar.

We did not use the pool or any recreation areas at the property.

We had dinner off-property both nights. Within a 5 minute drive, you can find very nice restaurants offering every cuisine imagined.

Overall, we found our rate to be quite reasonable given the value provided by the property and will book again when in the area.

We stayed 2 nights in Dec 2008 at the Sheraton Suites Plantation. This was a GREAT hotel and excellent value. The hotel has beautiful decor and contemporary furniture. It has the new Link @ Sheraton lobby with 5 computers for complimentary use by hotel guests. They even have a printer in case you need to print airline tickets or anything last minute.

All the guest rooms are suites. Each has a kitchenette that includes a coffee maker, mircowave, a sink and fridge. For us this was important as we have a 14 month old son that required milk and food that had to be refridgerated. We also had to constantly wash and heat food for him, so having a kitchette was a must. The coffee was Starbucks, and tasted great.

There was a large living area with a 32 inch LG flatscreen TV. The bathroom had double sink, again very useful when you have a kid. The bed was inside a room with sliding doors.

We tried the hotel restaurant for breakfast, it was good too. It was buffet style, although selection was a little limited but still had bacon, eggs, sausage, fruits, cereal and juice.

There is free parking outside. The hotel is adjacent to this defunct mall called "Fashion Mall" but it didn't bother me.

The location is good too. It is close to Interstate 595 which goes to the Fort Lauderdale/ Hollywood airport in about 10 minutes.

The price we paid was only $80 per night, so it was a great value.

Overall, I would definitely stay here again.
