“Well seasoned/prepared food, nice portions, but poor service”
Reviewed June 12, 2014

Came here with my gf on a Saturday night. The place was not busy, but a few tables were sat. Everyone who entered the restaurant seemed as if they were regulars due to them being warmly embraced upon entering.

Here was our biggest quip. Our server, though very nice, was never around. We dont think he was a bad server, because we watched him walk, talk and serve other tables well (even starting some and finishing them before us). We were interested in dessert and coffee, but after waiting 20 minutes after our meal was cleared... that was enough for us.

Food wise, it was wonderful. The mixed grille with four different types of meat was well seasoned and moist. Lamb shwarma was also delicious with a good amount of lamb.

All in all we would come back here and hope that the service was either a fluke or has improved.

“delicious middle Eastern food”
Reviewed March 28, 2014 via mobile

We had a very good lunch, very tasty lamb shwarma and kabobs. Eggplant appetizer was good too. We had to try a dessert, so shared a semolina and rose water pastry with pistachios, which was delicious. It is a nice dining room, with white tablecloths. Very good value.

“Good Middle Eastern Food in S. Florida”
Reviewed March 18, 2014

Looking for an alternative to the standard fare of SE Florida we were pleased to see we'd be in the vicinity of Plantation and that there was a Middle Eastern restaurant there. I should note that we have been enjoying Middle Eastern food back home in New York for many decades, including from the many restaurants of the enclave at the western end of Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn. Al Natour Middle Eastern Restaurant could hold its own with them. The flavors and dishes are authentic, the grills very good. A Fatoosh salad was quite good; grape leaves, both the cold, vegetarian version and the hot, with meat , were very good, and a kofta kebab plate could have held its own with any place's. Always a danger with Middle Eastern cuisine, some dishes were on the salty side, but that's common in this cuisine; still, in a modern American context, some would prefer their food less salty.

Al Natour offered a good range of Middle-Eastern dishes, and we were happy to see some dishes on the menu that break the mold from the over-dependence on grilled meats that affects too many North American mid-eastern and Turkish restaurants; it was a pleasure to find them in Plantation, especially with their very reasonably-priced menu in a pleasant setting.

One observation should be added: While obviously doing a lot of business with a local clientele familiar with the halal food, anyone could feel comfortable at Al Natour with its broad mix of customers; we'll be back to sample more of their choices when next in the area.

We found this restaurant by accident. We weren't sure if it would be too spicy but we were reassured that they served Morrocan as well as other Middle Eastern cuisine. There were spicy vegetable pickles brought to the table with 2 dips and warm flat breads. We shared a Greek salad and I had the Kafta Kabob Sandwich. It was so good! We had a slice of pistachio baklava to share and it was great. Great service and I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

“Authentic midEast cuisine”
Reviewed January 18, 2014 via mobile

Inexpensive, well prepared Mid East dishes. Big menu. Not too spicy. Great pickled vegetables. Good lamb and fish. Large portions. Plenty of free parking. Downsides- no liquor or beer, lots of noisy kids running around, not quite enough help, no cream for coffee, chaotic and slow service when busy (which is most weekend nights). Lots of big family groups and burqa clad women attest to the authenticity.
