They have the best liittle salad bar ever. The food is very good and the restraunt is very homey and comfortable. Best Iced tea in town. I love the upen faced roast beef sandwich and all the food is good. Husband loves the catfish. Portions are big and they have daily specials. My favorite is the Chicken and dumplings. We always have left overs and take them home.

If you want home cooked food at a very reasonable price there's no better place. their portions are large and you get the salad bar with the best cole slaw, potato salad, & pickled beets anywhere!

Snellgroves is on the main drag through the historic center of Plant City, Collins Street. This could be used a a set for a 1950's sit com or movie. Where else can you get fried catfish for breakfast served on those old style diner plates? Service is warm and friendly and the coffee is good. A breakfast special will yield 2 eggs cooked to order, one piece of bacon, hashbrowns or homefries (lots!), toast, and coffee for $4.80. We like to dally over our coffee until 10:00 when the consignment stores on either side open and we can go browsing for treasures. Great for a day out with friends.

We were antiquing in Plant City and decided we needed to eat lunch. There seemed to be only two choices for lunch so we headed down the street to Snellgrove's. We had BLT's which had thick bacon on thick Texas toast with onion rings. Plenty enough food for lunch. The onion rings were some of the best I have ever had! We did try the fried green tomatoes, but they were sliced a little too thick for us and did not have the usual cornmeal coating. Around $6 for each of us.

Good country breakfast, lunch and dinner. Sit down menu meals. They do have a salad bar. Large portions. Local owned. This is where the locals eat.
