We've driven by Dinosaur World for years visiting family in the area. My twin boys are 3 1/2 now and I figured it was the perfect time to go. I didn't expect it to be so clean, organized, interesting and spacious. We brought our lunch and had a nice picnic in the shade. The boys were exhausted from all the learning and playing at the fantastic playground. We'll be back yearly as the boys grow.

Try to avoid the summer when it's hot but there is lots of shade. Great museum and gift shop. Nice playgrounds and picnic areas.

“Couldn't find Richard Attenborough anywhere...”

Fun little morning excursion St. Petersburg. Was able to bring my dog as well. Free parking, under $15 pp to get in. We were the only ones in the park our entire time there for about 1.5 hours. We did get there just after they opened at 9.

Clean grounds, lovely walking trail and the trees and plants are lovely. Would probably be a great place to go on a hot day, as it was very shady and cool under all those trees.

The dinosaurs are designed really well, and a brief description of what kind of dinosaurs they are. There is a fossil dig for kids too. Nicely stocked gift shop as well.

“A Pleasent surprise”

A nice day trip. Grandson was torn between life size models of dinosaurs and the children's sand fossil pit where they can dig and keep 3 fossils. It is heavily salted with fossils, shark's teeth, etc. He had trouble deciding which was best to keep. Has animatronics dinos inside and friendly staff!

My seven year old daughter loves dinosaurs so this seemed like a perfect place to go. It was much more fun than we were expecting! The dinosaurs are huge, and the setting really lets you pretend that you're back in time. The grounds are perfectly clean and well-kept. The map was a little hard to follow, but we had fun exploring without it. My daughter liked using the QR reader on my phone to get more information at each stop (not that she actually stopped to listen to it, but it was a fun, interactive thing for her to do). Don't miss the fossil dig! It's included with the child's ticket but extra for adults. I did along with my daughter and we had fun sifting through the sand together and then selecting the best ones to keep.

Advice: plan your dig before or after you see the park. We didn't know there were only certain times for the dig, and we got there towards the end of the day. We didn't have enough time to see the museum and we had to run from the opposite end of the park with a confusing map to get to the dig on time.

Best part: it's pet-friendly! We brought our 9 month old, well-socialized Bullmastiff into the park. The kids loved to pet him, and we got some great family pictures!!!
