I grew up in suburban Philadelphia and live in St. Petersburg, FL now. There are a lot of Philly transplants in this area and a few places that advertise they are from Philadelphia. Just because you use frozen Amoroso rolls does not give them the right to advertise the best Hoagie or Cheesesteak outside Philly. Colonial Corner here in Pinellas Park is the leading offender in my area. Colonial Corner makes a horrible Hoagie and a greasy Cheesesteak. I was so glad to see Jersey Mike's opening in Pinellas Park as I have been to their Delray Beach location many times when I lived in Palm Beach County. The #13 which has boiled ham, capicola, salami, prosciuttini, peperoni, and provolone is the BEST Sammy I have had since I left Philadelphia in 1990. They bake there own rolls as well. There was a small deli on 11th street just south of Washington ave. in Philly which made the best Hoagie there. Jersey Mikes is a close second. Don't be fooled by places who claim the are from Philadelphia or use Amoroso rolls. Jersey Mike's makes the BEST Hoagie in the St. Pete area. YUMMY!! The ultimate which is about 16 inches long is $13.86 including tax and well worth it.
