We dined here earlier this month for our 13th wedding anniversary. My sister in law lives in nearby Fort Myers and made a reservation for us ( party of four) for dinner. The food was outstanding. This was definitely one of the top 10 meals that I've ever had. Frankie was our server and he was great! Three members of our party had the scallop special. I believe that they have a scallop and a fish special every night. We started our meal with the cheese board (delicious!) and ended with dessert (chocolate mousse cake!). I'd love to dine here again when we're in the area visiting family.

This was our second stay at Tarpon Lodge. This is truly a special property, in a magnificant location. The rooms are ultra-comfortable, and quiet. The staff works continuously to maintain the outstanding quality of these grounds and facility. This is a great location to head out for fishing, and a wonderful place to just float in the pool, and listen to the wind whistle throught the palm fronds, with sunsets that rival anywhere else on the gulf coast.

Room Tip: A room with a water view, is worth the slightly higher rate.

We drove our boat to the Tarpon Lodge and stayed three nights. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We stayed on the second floor of the lodge in a room that had a balcony with table and two chairs. We were blessed with wonderful weather and the nice windows let in the gorgeous sunlight. Boating in this area is unsurpassed, as is the fishing. We took the boat to Cayo Costa State Park and enjoyed Old Florida scenery and beach.

We ate in the Lodge Restaurant all three evenings and had a comfortable table on the covered porch. The food is creative and tasty, and presented beautifully. The servers are polite and were attentive to the guests. Prices are reasonable for the quality and setting.

We will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Ample dock space for guests who arrive by boat.

We spent 4 days here in our first ever vacation to the gulf coast of Florida. We couldn't have been more pleased with the accommodations, restaurant and activities. All the staff was very pleasant. We stayed in room 6. Little small, but very clean and well appointed. The balcony has a great view and is quiet. We birded multiple times at the Calausa Heritage sight across the way. Excellent kayaking in nearby Matlacha.

Great little out of the way place!

Tarpon Lodge is my favorite place to dine while on Pine Island. It is a perfect mix of very fine and very casual dining. The soups are always good here, as are the salads, appetizers and desserts. Try the chicken quesadilla or the shrimp tortilla. You will not be disappointed. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Good selection of wines and assorted cocktails (beer too!). There is lodging and any couple would be lucky to marry here. Dock your boat and come right up for a meal! This is my go-to restaurant!
