Several of us stayed at this Courtyard for 2 nites (a Friday and Saturday.) We were scuba diving in the area that weekend--and there are great scuba options nearby if anyone is interested in that sport. The rooms were larger than most, spotless, and comfortable. AM breakfast included freshly made omelets and waffles, plus all the ususal hotel fare. Pool was crystal clean and not crowded--lots of room to catch the sun. Fitness center on site seemed more than adequate (though none in our bunch was working out that weekend.) Bar on the premises. The staff is extremely helpful--guided us to very good restaurants both nites, and even gave us free appetizer/dessert coupons for one of them. Ice and drink machines were working, lobby market had extra goodies, and also right across the street from a well-stocked convenience store. Great location--1/2 street off of the water with easy access to downtown Pensacola and to Gulf Breeze (across the bridge.) We stayed here several years ago, and halfway expected the property to show some wear. (Beach-goers are not always the neatest guests.) But hotel was just a lovely as it was 3 years ago. Will definitely stay here again.

It's in downtown, so it's near restaurants, banks, convention center and also big streets, traffic noise, a busy railway and police sirens. Even thought we stayed during the weekend, the hotel is right off the highway exit, so the traffic noise can be heard constantly. The hotel itself is clean and pleasant. Free wi-fi, internet & computer at lobby. Rooms don't have microwave but they have a minifridge. There is a circle K gas and convenience store across the street, as well as a steakhouse next to the hotel. The pool is clean and nice. Free, decent coffee at the lobby all day. Breakfast buffett optional for $9 p/p. We had breakfast outside. A 10 min drive to Atlas Oyster house was our dinner of choice (great raw oyster and fabulous shrimp&grits, so-so sandwiches). The attendants at the lobby were friendly and the beach is just a free bridge and toll one away.

Checked in for a quick overnight while driving to New Orleans. Hotel is classic Courtyard. Nice, seemingly clean. Checked in late, grabbed a quick meal at the nearby Outback and hit the bed around 9:30. Woke up to itching ankles at 6am. Thinking it was just a mosquito bite took a shower and was shocked to see my arms covered in little welts in the mirror. Likewise my lower legs. Found a few what may be little bugs in the bed. Told front desk and honestly, she didn't look shocked or concerned. Just took note of it. Plan on contacting their corporate headquarters today. WIll follow-up with their response.
I travel extensively and have stayed in many hotels and this is the first encounter with this little pest I have ever have.

From the moment we walked in the front door until we left, we had awesome service from all we came in contact with. Beautiful property. Nice outdoor patio with fireplace. Nice pool and hot tub. Nice rooms with desk space and we had a couch. Fresh cookies in the evening. Coffee and tea available all day. Good selection of newspapers available in lobby and also computers in lobby.

We had a gorgeous view of the bay in spite of the desk clerk downplaying it. Traffic was audible a few times due to the nearby intersection but it was not enough to disturb. Desk staff and housekeeping were great, never made us feel rushed or unattended about things we needed. We didn't get a chance to enjoy all amenities due to being there for Seafood Festival which was great. We got to watch a fabulous lightning display at night over the bay, felt very cozy watching the following rainstorm from the third floor. Lots of very convenient places to grab a bite nearby if you don't go to the restaurant.....a GPS or laptop is great if you are unfamiliar with the one way streets in the area.

To pay as much as I did for this room, one would think they could throw in a free breakfast. No luck. Heaven forbid Marriott could give you a free meal. The rooms were nice, clean, spacious and lots of easy to reach lights. There was a desk to work at and a nice large flat screen t.v. The bathroom was roomy and clean with a marble looking counter. The towels were clean, white and fresh. They provided tiny bottles of shampoo and conditioner. The air conditioning worked well and I was glad for that cause it was very hot there. The room had a mini fridge, which was nice to keep my soda cold. The gym was decent and hardly anyone there. The lobby was large and inviting. They had a nice patio that I'm sure would be enjoyable had it not been so dang warm. The pool was lovely with fountains spraying around the sides. I was able to save money on food by going across the streek to the circle K. There is a couple of other places to eat nearby as well. Generally I think it's just a little over priced and should have stayed somewhere else to save money.
