WoodSpring Suites Pensacola Northeast

Overall a great experience. I dont know what the other posts are about, but they are off base. I'm not going to lie, if you judge the place by some of the clients out front and their vehicles, it can easily turn you off to the place, leaving you thinking of it as another "ghettoed" out extended stay with some pretty shady people staying there. Dont be fooled. The staff is wonderful, the place is safe, clean, and easily accessible. Chris checked me in after-hours and gave me a very thorough run down of the place to include pointers for getting the high speed internet to work. Frankly, a better check in that 3 star (or better) hotels I've stayed at. Carla (who worked the desk and whom I thought was a manager but wasn't) was very attentive and thoughtful. She remembered my name merely by face recognition. If that isn't guest support, I dont know what is. Wow.

Jerry the manager was always extremely friendly and helpful. housekeeping was good. noise level low.previous to checking in I was staying at a motel near near the airport with the same average nightly price I stayed at value [place for 6 nights not seven but it was well worth paying for the extra night.} but an unsafe ambience with not any of the amenities that value place on scenic highway offers. I plan to stay agian, from Ohio (plan to come out there this week 8-22-08) have to wait and see about hurricane fay. p.s. very near to stores, restaurants and of course pensacola beach!

This is a terrible place to stay... Unless you don't mind being woke up all night due to paper thin walls. the bed is one mattress on a piece of plywood (never seen a bed like it before) im 5'7" my feet were hanging off the end. They have a weird guy who works at night and is about 30-35 hanging out smoking with teenagers. The guest above sound like they are stomping every step the took... not there fault they need to walk around but the walls again are soooo thin... they also require a $100.00 deposit when you check in lets just say they will try too keep it anyway they can... Billing is terrible! oh did i say billing is terrible. The entrance is horrible coming and going. They need to have the sheriff patrolling the area due to the nature of things going on in the back parking lot.

The hotel was decent. The location was awkward to get in and out of. When we checked in, the front desk lady said it was their policy to NOT HONOR THE PRICE WE BOOKED ON ORBITZ. We got a cheaper price through Orbitz but she said it was corporate policy and they couldn't give us the price we booked the room under. They charged us an additional $70 above our booking price. I also had to call several weeks later and "remind" them they had not issued my $100 deposit back to my credit card. The walls in the room were paper thin so you could hear everything in the hall and rooms above us. I definitely will not be staying at another Value Place again.

well if i could give this review a negative rating i would. the room that i stayed in was dirty. the carpet was sticky and wet. there was mildew in the shower. black goop came out o the shower faucet when i turned it on. the bed is extremely small. i am 5'2 and my feet almost hang over the edge. theres no closet, coffee pot or even a lamp in the room. you get one towel a week and if you want more you have to pay for them. the "stove" in this place is pretty much just a hot plate. and there is a terrible odor all over the build. esp in the elevator. i wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone. not even someone i hated. the staff is extremely rude and very unhelpful.

This newly-built wood-frame four-story property may be a good "value" if you are an uncommonly sound sleeper and don't mind the fact that most of your fellow guests are likely regulars at the county jail.

The walls, floors, and ceilings are unbelievably thin for a building constructed in early 2006. Every movement of every person above you will be felt in your bed as you gaze at the elegant popcorn ceiling. The drunks playing loud music four doors down at 3 a.m. will reach your ears with nearly crystal clarity. I suppose that the druggies in the parking lot and the random transients could be seen to add an element of thrilling danger, but the experience leans more toward the "going to be mugged" variety rather than the romantic.

Despite the property's supposed "zero tolerance" for noise and disturbances (the simple existence of such a policy should be a warning sign) the girl working the desk in the middle of the night will not do any more than sleepily inform you for the fourth time that she'll "call them and get them to quiet down."

Rather than continue what could easily become a multi-page diatribe, I will simply suggest that you avoid this property at all costs, regardless of what a "value" it may appear to be.

One little postscript: after your first sleepless night you will discover that they only rent by the weekly rate, even if you stay only one night. After you flee this cesspool of insomnolence you will need to dispute the charge with your credit card company for even a partial refund.
