Description: Picasso’s began because of a love between art and music! Brad Hunt is a musician and lover of all things music... His wife of 10 years, Ally, is an artist and lover of all things artistic. They decided that Pensacola was missing the type of place where people could go to congregate...mingle...eat...observe...and especially enjoy innovative live music in an inviting, creative atmosphere.

We hadn't been to Picasso's, though it opened in November 2013. On a friend's recommendation, we tried it and are very pleased to add a another seemingly reliable spot to the restaurant roster. We shared two appetizers: the Can You Dig It phyllo triangles with a chorizo and cheese stuffing, and the Mushrooms Veronique stuffed with red grapes and a Boursin-like herbed cheese. Each was served as three pieces, nicely garnished and presented, and both were flat out delicious. We then shared the Porgy and Bess stuffed pork tenderloin, and the Just Ducky with a gorgonzola/apple crisp topping a duck confit. Again, both dishes were really excellent, though the pork was a tiny bit chewy, and the gorgonzola almost drowned out the duck. For dessert, we shared a tasting plate of varied chocolate truffles with wines and ports. And again, the dish was spot on. We can't properly evaluate the music or interior ambiance as we ate outside to enjoy the evening people-watching, but we can recommend the food and its presentation, and the service, without hesitation. 'Tain't cheap, but you get what you pay for, and we're very pleased to see another quality spot added to what is now a very attractive area in the evening.

We have been looking for a place like this forever! Don't know how long they've been open, but my husband and I just found it tonight. Even though it was a good 40 minutes drive from our side of town (Perdido Key), it was well worth the drive. The music was great, the wine excellent, the food delicious, and the service outstanding! We'll definitely be back!

A bit loud, but the owner indicated they had plans to remedy the situation. Portions are small, but good. Beer and wine, no hard liquor; and a nice selection of wines.
