We really enjoyed the drive through the old part of downtown Pensacola on the way to this waterside restaurant. The building had a lot of character and you could tell it is a favorite among the locals for food and drink after work. Our food was very good and the service was as expected from a restaurant in this price-range.

We were looking for a place to have lunch with a view of the water. We drove up to the Fish House, and decided to give it a try. We thought at first it was a fish factory. But we were glad we checked it out. We were able to sit outside (the nicest day of the month) Service was great. Food was very tasty, with home cured bacon. We really enjoyed it. The outside is typical, and it is not fine dining. We did not go inside so don't know if that is different. Would come back here for sure.

We all had a great lunch at the Fish House. Try the calamari appetizer! Unique. Lots of fish selections and choices of preparation. Service was prompt and professional.

Kate and I went to the fish house for dinner with friends. There was quite a wait on a Thursday night, but the wait was worth it. While we waited, we enjoyed the two wonderful fish tanks. We were fortunate and were seated in what appeared to be the only booth in the building with glass walls so that we could see, but not hear the cacophony around us. Had we not had this particular booth, the restaurant experience would have been tarnished by the noise level in the restaurant.

We began by sharing the sautéed crab claws. They were interesting, not particularly meaty, but flavorful. More of an experience perhaps than a culinary delight. They left you just as hungry as when you started, but it turned out to be perfect in our case because the fish tacos Kate ordered for dinner were plentiful. She had five tacos with a plateful of toppings. The tacos were flavorful, maybe a touch light on the fish per taco, but if you tossed one of the tortillas and made four tacos out of the five…wallah! Needless to say, Kate left me a sizable portion of her food…which is always a good thing.

I had the signature dish, the Grits a YaYa. "Shrimp and grits" to the masses, but a wonderful shrimp and grits dish. I would definitely eat this meal again, but I would come on a sunny day and eat outside.

We enjoyed our dinner at the Fish House and would return here on a future trip to Pensacola.

Not sure what all the hype is over this restaurant. The view is great, but other than that the experience was not noteworthy.
First all, our server, Thomas was not a very good server. He forgot to mention or bring the complimentary beignets, we had to ask for them. He did not keep our glasses filled & we had to wait for silverware after our food came. His attitude was not the greatest.
We had the MoMA salad, fish with veggies & sushi. (The waffle maker was broken or we would have ordered the chicken & waffles). The fish was way over seasoned, the salad had canned pears & the sushi was ok.
The food was lackluster & the service was horrible.
This was my last visit to The Fish House.
