“Very nice brunch”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

Had brunch there recently. The service is not fast, but attentive. Highlights were the rich and deep French onion soup and the mushroom and sherry soup. My eggs Benedict Florentine was wonderful--the best Hollandaise sauce I've ever had. Converted my mom who said she hated Hollandaise sauce! Although we were too full for dessert, the creme brulee called our name ever so sweetly--and was another hit. Velvety, not too sweet or rich, with a tangy raspberry drizzle on the sugar crust. Was pretty quiet for most of our meal but as the place filled up it did get noisier (a consideration since we have a handicapped family member who is sensitive to noise).

“Birthday Dinner”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

My wife and I recently enjoyed O'Briens Bistro for a dual birthday dinner, never having visited before. We were pleasantly surprised at the European temperament and bustle and menu choices. The waitress and chef was most accomodating my gluten-free wife without any sacrifice in taste. Her steak, potatoes and asparagus were excellent as was my veal with pasta. The portions were more than sufficient and we needed no "to-go" box. We will certainly return.

“Like a French Bistro”
Reviewed February 9, 2013

Six seniors went for dinner on the Friday night which begins the Mardi Gras parades downtown. Place pretty full and happily conversational, but not overcrowded. Prompt and knowledgeable service. One grouper, one duck breast, one filet mignon and three elk loin (special of the evening:) all good quality, but all basically presented the same. A place we'd be happy to take out-of-towners as an alternative to the beach - would never get a Michelin star but would deserve some crossed knives and forks as a good local place.

“delicious food and great service”
Reviewed January 10, 2013

My husband and I were looking to eat at a restaurant near 9th ave as we going to a movie afterwards. We were tired of the regular "chain" ones and read the reviews of this one. We were so happy with our choice to try it out. The atmosphere was very nice, cozy, and the best part it was quiet. So many restaurants are so noisy with tables close to one another. We both had seafood entrees and salads which were well prepared and very tasty. Our server was very attentive. We know we'll be there often on our "date nights" as it was just a perfect place and it was great to have some "new" choices with the chef's specials.

“So-o incredibly good- should be in the Top10 in Pensacola”
Reviewed January 8, 2013

This casual little neighborhood restaurant with upscale menu and food is so overlooked and underestimated. The food is perfection, everything fresh & perfectly prepared. The soups are wonderful and the chef makes all of them. The service is excellent and servers are very knowledgable about the menu and food. It's not fancy (except for the food and service) but is cozy and welcoming; the perfect place for fine dining in an unpretentious atmosphere. Go...you'll be happy you did!
