Description: McGuire's Irish Pub first opened in 1977 as a small neighborhood pub in a shopping center. In 1982 McGuire's moves to its current location; Pensacola's original 1927 Old Firehouse. Inside the pub you'll find a turn-of-the-century, New York Irish Saloon themed 615-seat restaurant. We are celebrated for our atmosphere boasting more than One Million signed dollar bills hanging from the ceilings and walls of the Pub. In 1996, McGuire's Irish Pub of Destin opened on beautiful Destin Harbor with the same great food and live Irish entertainment. For the most current Menu's please visit our website.

We visited at about 4-5 on a Friday afternoon...we had no wait...there were 4 in our party and everyone ordered a different main course...Ribs...shrimp Alfredo...pork chops...corn beef and cabbage...we also had the bean soup. They were all awesome and everyone had leftovers...if you have never tried it...IT IS A MUST DO....NOT TO MENTION ALL THE DOLLAR BILLS HANGING FROM THE CEILING...MILLIONS$$$$$$

“Great food”

More expensive, a little dressy, but definitely good food and worht the stop. Plus you get to walk through money, what's better then that.

“Great Food! Great Staff! Great Atmosphere!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 14, 2013

This is one of those places that make it almost impossible to have a bad time. The moment you walk in, the million + dollar bills are one of the first things to catch your eye. They are stapled to the ceiling everywhere! There is a bar area off the main entry and the the rest of the restaurant is broken up into different rooms....not too large, but not cramped either. Take your time to check out the entire place. There are all sorts of things to look at on the walls, etc (in addition to the dollar bills). Our waitress was very friendly and liked to kid around. She made us feel very welcome and went out of her way to accommodate us. They brew their own beer, as well as their own root beer. They serve Senate bean soup for 49 cents ( there's a story behind that), and it is delicious. My wife and I also had Reuben sandwiches, which were the best we ever had. They were literally 5 inches thick! Feel free to staple your own dollar bill to the ceiling with your name or whatever else you want to write on it. They also have a small gift shop. We will definitely go back when in the area again.

“So so food in a creepy atmosphere”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 12, 2013

We were seated in a room that had millions off dollars hanging on the walls. Really! They encourage stapling a dollar bill everywhere. I thought it made the place dirty. The food was just okay. They do brew their own excellent beer. So go for the experience, sit in one of the other non dollar decorated rooms-the place is huge, and have a great beer or two or....

“Exciting Vibe Mediocre Food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 11, 2013

I write this as an English traveller who was been to Ireland and enjoys Irish food. The best thing about this pub is the exciting atmosphere. We went on a very busy weekend and the place was stuffed with a vibrant crowd. The ceilings are covered with dollar bills, and there is a real sense of excitement in the air. The beer was very good. Yeasty, savory and full of hops. But the meal was - for our European taste - below average.

I ordered the lamb chops. These came with a ‘loaf’ of choclatey brown bread that looked like it was smeared with mucus. And a big salad. There were only two lamb chops. The chops were thick, but were not tasty. I would rather have had thin chops - but more of them. This was not a cheap meal (food is not cheap here at McGuire’s) and I paid about $25.00 for the chops. My friend had a steak. He said that his meat was overdone and contained cartilage. His meal was about $28.00 Both dishes came with a portion of fries. But the fries were just five or six thickly cut chips delivered on a saucer. The menu said that the meal came with a bowl of soup for 27 cents. But I do not remember any soup being served. It was an expensive meal in a great location. But we left with a sense of disappointment.

We waited 45 minutes for a table for two. This was efficiently handled by a friendly front-of-house team. The outdoor seating is by the side of a busy road. Maybe, this would suit mokers, but then you don't get the ambiance - and you get traffic noise and fumes. The restuarant has a large double decker bus outside. It has amenities for kids and a busy gift shop.
