Long tunnels to explore, makes you wonder what will be around the corner. Self guided tour, like walking back in time.

I liked it, been going here since 95. Has a drawbridge that my kids love. Just feels like you are in Lord of the Rings and really takes you back in time. Nature trail nearby is nice.

Definitely watch the 5 minute video in the gift shop before going into the Fort. It gives you the background you need to understand what you're seeing and where to go in the Fort. There are no signs or explanations once inside. The long brick tunnels make for gorgeous photos, especially when the light is coming through the wall holes. Lots of walking and climbing, so it's good for kids who need to burn some energy. We recommend this...and it's very close to the Naval Museum and Pensacola Lighthouse.

This is one of Pensacola's greatest places to go. The old fort, with it's long tunnels and rooms is so interesting. The grounds are really nice with picnic tables for a picnic. Once on top of the fort, with the old cannons, one can see right out into the gulf through the Pensacola Pass. An awsome view. A must see.

History was interesting. "A real cool fort" but not much else to do there. For a quiet, easy going hour this will do nicely......take a picnic lunch, they got tables. They need a good working cannon to demonstrate how the confederates could blow stuff up!
