Owner description: Homebase for the Blue Angels, the U.S. Navy's Flight Demonstration Squadron, Pensacola NAS is also home to the Pensacola Lighthouse, the National Museum of Naval Aviation and Fort Barrancas, an early 19th-century garrison.

We were looking for the Lighthouse and Fort Barrancas. The are both located on this base and there are good signs the guide you. We got there late, but were still able to drive around and pass by the Fort and stop and see the light house. It was closed, but we walked across the street to the beach instead. There is also a large cemetery on this base that gives pause. Many white markers in a row. Something to really think about.

This is a great visit. It's a well kept beautiful light house. There aren't many lighthouses you get to travel to the top of and this is one you actually get to. It's a beautiful view and you can see the blue angels hanging out at their bay while at the top.

Thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Seeing the history of naval aviation from WWI to present was fascinating. My kids got to sit in the cockpits of three different aircraft used by the Blue Angels.

Great place to visit if you are a history buff and like airplanes. I'm neither but still enjoyed visiting the museum. lots and lots of displays. You can also do different simulators and experience flight.
Has a restaurant on site which is nice. We didn't go because it was very busy. Overall a very good experience. My husband & niece could have spent all day there.

Excellent, must-see museum (closed on Mondays for now) with a restaurant. All types of planes since WWII including Blue Angel jets. Blue Angel practices are closed for now--sequestration. Barrancas Fort from the 1840s and crucial in the Civil War was a sight to see. Lots of steps, though! It was too hot to go on the trail. Free, but only open Fri.-Sun. Civilians can eat at the NEX food court. Also on base is a lighthouse. Did not go up the 177 steps because it was too hot.
