Review of Johnson Beach

This secluded beach is stunning. Filled with beautiful sea birds, seashells, and a panoramic ocean view that extends forever, you'll find everything you need for a relaxing/energizing stroll. Everything, except other people, which makes it extra special.
The sand is so white, Northerners will have to mentally remind themselves it's not a beach of pristine snow.

Great covered picnic area with restrooms right on the beach, walking trails, great sand-dunes to play in, designated area (last 3 miles of the island) unofficially consider "Johnson's Nude Beach).... check the internet. Nominal daily rate, annual passes, and great National Park rate for life for seniors over 65 at $12.00. Also easily accessed by boat on the Gulf side or the Inter-coastal side. Great place to take pics of the sunset too!

Enjoy this beach immensely. The sand is beautiful and love to look for shells. Also enjoy the waves and watching the sand crabs emerge.

Just a great stretch of beach in the most natural of settings. Varies from busy covered facilities to deserted stretches requiring long walks from your parked car. A little bit of gulf, some inter-coastal and even some primitive camping. Don't hesitate to make this a stop. If sun, sand and warm salt water is on your list you won't be disappointe4d.

Johnson's beach is quickly becoming one of our favorite beaches. Its a shame that the government doesn't improve the facilities in that this could be the premier beaches in the area.
