“Get away from the condos”

Being a national park and requiring a small fee ($3) to enter, the beach was much less crowded than the public beaches or the area around the condos. Perdido Key has perfect water and beautiful white sand beaches. They'll let you rent out gazebos in advance, and there is camping in the park.

If you are active duty military, just show your ID, and the ranger will get you a free pass good for just about all the national parks.

It is a National Park and therefore you need to pay for a park pass (daily, weekly, annual or National Park Card)
Escambia County does not allow any dogs on any beaches.
You can relax on either the gulf side or the intracoastal side. Bring what you want or need, nothing for sale. Enjoy watching the watercraft, the barges and the dolphins.
Enjoy our beautiful beaches and please only leave footprints.

Lovely beach. Unfortunately there is not a single strip or piece where dogs are welcome even if you are a responsible dog owner who cleans up. Not very pet friendly for people who travel with pets and do not want to leave them in a trailer. Yet, as we drove down the road we saw three dog owners with dogs on the beach, totally ignoring the signs. We kept our dogs in the truck and skipped violating the law. Late fall so the beach was fairly empty of people (except three law breaking dog owners and a few fishermen. The National Park Service was not at the post perhaps due to sequester? or low season? Would definitely go back if we ever travel without our pups. The white sand is amazing!

This beach is pristine, quite and not busy. They do have restroom facilities with picnic areas available for a gathering. More locals come here than tourists. Fishing and birdwatching are in abundance. You'll see dolphins, rays and pelicans.

Love visiting this beach when I'm in town. Quiet and a beautiful beach. Not busy and nice to see that it's more of a locals beach. Great place to fish as well. Bring a blanket, chair, and enjoy.
