I got a room with two double beds which was adequate for a family of 3. Hotel decor may have a worn look for some but it more than met our needs for a two day stay. Very close to NAS Pensacola and Corry Station. Staff was friendly. I love the military decor in the lobby. Yes, the rooms have a kitchenette and the smell may be in the hallway but never had the smell in our room. It is up to you to stay here but we enjoyed it. If you want to pay double and go elsewhere, have at it. Spend time enjoying Pensacola and not the walls in your room. Enjoyed Air Museum and Mardi Gras parade downtown.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a nice comment. We always appreciate hearing from our guest (good or bad) to help us improve our service. We especially appreciate the nice comments about the staff. It is particulary nice when a guest remembers our names. Thanks again and we hope to see you again soon.

one word for this place..... gross. Definitely not in a safe area. think twice before you book. The smell was nasty of old grease and smoke. The rooms were gross. Questionable people that looked like they were living there.

Staff was really nice.

I am sorry that you did not feel safe at our hotel. Approximately 70% of our business is active duty military and their families. We also have a very large customer base that returns on a regular basis. I wish you had come to the front desk with any issues that you may have had, so they could have been resolved during your stay. As you noted, our staff is terrific and would have been very happy to assist you. Please feel free to contact me if you wish to make additional comments or questions. Marty

This place is worn and well used but was ok. There was a smell in the upstairs from people cooking that wasn't to my liking. The room was clean to a point but a little dusty. The toilet seat was held on with one bolt. It gets alot of military use. Staff was good.

Went to visit my son during Thanksgiving. Was a little disappointed because when I booked the room, I was under the impression that it was a living room seperate from the bedroom. A mini suite not a studio which everything is in the same room. The staff took the time to explain and apologize and told me that if they weren't booked they would have given me an extra room or a different one. I appreciated that they even offered. Still we made it work. The staff was very nice and informative and helpful. If we needed something they brought up to our room right awa y.. Our family would like to say a special Thank you to Justin Acoba and the other young man who worked Thanksgiving holiday. Sorry, we didn't get his name but they made our experience a positive one.
The only negative things about the rooms are. The walls are super thin. You can hear everything!! Also, the bathrooms need updated. Need to be recaulked and a good bleach cleaning. Looks like mold on bottom of outside tub. Need more counter space in bathroom for personal items....
Housekeepers need to be a little more attentive when they are cleaning. Don't be afraid to bend over when they clean. Beds were sloppy when they were made and dust on everything.

Room Tip: Try to get third floor...acoustics are really bad.

The Suburban Lodge is a nice basic hotel. Our scooter rally has been recommending this place to our attendees for 5 years now. Each stay we are welcomed and we have a good time. It's a basic hotel, the price is good and it's clean. The pool is nice too but what makes this place really good is the staff. Marty, the manager, and her staff know how to make their guests feel welcome. Thanks again for a good place to rest our heads!
