Over the last few months, I've been going to Downtown Pensacola more and more. I usually try not to leave the beach because until recently, there never really was a reason to do it. But, my friends have been taking me Downtown more and more as all of sudden, there's a lot of places to go there. I don't know what the City has been doing to attract all the new restaurants, bars and shops, but its nice to see the town thriving for a change. So, we walked in off the street to this place Play on our way to Hopjacks. This was the coolest little spot I've been to in a long time. I didn't know what to expect because you walk up the stairs and you can't really see anything until you're up there. But, there's a lot of vintage arcade games, pool tables and SKEE BALL! I hadn't played skee ball in years. The bar is cozy and it was jumping. The music was good (but I guess it can be bad if people pick bad music since its from a juke box). I liked the old glamour prints on the walls. Bartenders were super nice and we had a ball. It seems like a more word of mouth thing and they don't have a huge sign outside so you'll have to look for it. But, its next to Hopjacks and upstairs above a wine bar so you should be able to find it.
