The brie dip was the best! Ordered one then ordered a second. Great beers on tap. The service was great!

Hopjacks has an excellent selection of beers at a very good price. When I came back from California I figured there wouldn't be any decent places to grab a craft brew, but Hopjacks proved me wrong! Also, if you enjoy a good, thick dark beer try the Midnight Oil.

Take your average Pizza Kitchen and put it in a gym, 7 days a week, for 6 years, and you can kind of grasp what kind of product they're putting out at Hopjacks Pizza Kitchen & Taproom. With toppings like fresh asparagus, crawfish, roasted duck, filet mignon, roasted corn, and cream cheese to name a few, this is far from your average pizza pub.

Additional highlights of culinary success include their Hand-Cut Duck-Fat infused Belgian-Fries. Yes, these hand cut potatoes are twice cooked, in house rendered Duck-Fat. These fries are offered up in two versions, 1.) Being tossed in a chef-mix of blended Salt and Pepper, and served with "Fry Sauce" (which seems to be a heavily herbed garlic aoli). 2.) Tossed in a cinnamon/sugar blend and served with a Honey-Infused Cream-Cheese Dipping-Sauce (and I am told they source the honey used from the locally owned/produced, "East Hill Honey Co.").

Food aside, Beer and Liquor is what this place is built on. Featuring 112 ever rotating craft/imported beers on draft, and over 100 more in the bottle, you will never need to order the same brew twice. Their knowledgeable staff can walk you through your beer selection, or through their fully stocked bar which includes homemade Vodka/Rum/Whiskey infusions, and a very deep Martini Menu.

With different tongue and cheek specials 7 days a week, the only thing left to mention is the plethora of Free Live Music. You can look at their calendar on their website (www.hopjacks.com) and see that not only do local bands/artists perform, but they also get a slew of Regional/National acts across their stage!

Every time I go, I try and get a seat on their front patio. The people watching, on the busy South Palafox Placen never lets me down!

If you like beer. Come here. My husband wanted to try this place because of the beer selections. Which was huge. Over 100 beers on tap and bottles.

We got the fries - was very good.. And the sauce it came with was amazing! The pizza was very good as well. We got the "steak dinner." It was very filling. The kids got a pepperoni pizza and they loved it. The finished the whole pizza.

The place is itself was dark and kind of smoky(from the kitchen). The service was good and fast. I would recommend if you had kids go during lunch or a early dinner. I know that it does get crowded later in the day.

I usually come here every other month or so, but stick with the pita folds. On this visit I decided to mix it up, and I am very glade that I did! I ordered the cajun crawfish pizza. The best way to describe this would be if you had some crawfish bisque and poured it over the pizza dough, then add roasted garlic slices. Most places will scimp on the seafood, however Hop Jacks loads it up!
