This protected National seashore is a great picnic spot. Our kids loved it when they were little. Gently sloping shallow swim area and lots to explore!

I always love the beach, but this time it was a little cold and I still am sick because of it. Best beaches in the USA!

We visited this park for the first time this last weekend. Nice, clean, white sand beach. Excellent for swimming and sunbathing. Family atmosphere; very laid back and quiet. Bring your own chairs, food and beach umbrellas as there are none provided. Life guard on duty most of the day. There are signs warning of a RIP current, but we never ventured more than 100 ft from shore and felt no current at all. We watched dolphins frolicking all morning just beyond the last sandbar. The ocean bottom is hard packed sand, no rocks or anything with sharp edges. We had a very relaxing day playing in the sun and waves here!
