We were pleasantly surprised at all aspects of this hotel. We weren't expecting much as it is one of the cheaper options in Pensacola. The man at the front desk, Michael Bennett, was more than helpful. He was so kind, explained in detail directions to the nearest beach and even gave us his recommendations on local restaurants to visit. Any time we ever needed anything he was more than willing to help us, there are not many people as kind and helpful these days as he. The breakfast was great...biscuits, eggs, sausage gravy, muffins, waffles, the whole none yards. The room was decent. Beds and pillows very comfortable, but the bathrooms really need a facelift! They just seemed old and dirty. Overall we were pleased and will be staying here again!

Me and daughter enjoyed our stay as we arrived on June 6 -9 & the hotel has an awesome view of the water bay!! The hotel is just minutes from the mall & 22 minutes from beaches!! The. Staff was great and is located across from. The gas station with a Diary Queen inside!! Me & my daughter Will definitely miss our Stay there! ! God bless y'all

We stayed here while on the trip to Florida last august. we just looked up online while on the road and its seemed pretty ok nightly rate and location (scenic view). didn't have much difficulty to get there. room was nice but carpet looked outdated. Had a good rest after 10 hours of driving. would stay here again if in the area.
breakfast was lovely with nice set up.

Room Tip: everything is great.

My wife and I decided on a one night getaway on Memorial Day weekend. Although it was pricey by our standards, it was a special thing to do on this holiday. Our getaway began with disappointment as the hotel did not have our room prepared for the 3 o'clock check-in time. We, along with many other people, sat and waited. Our wait was 1 hour and 20 minutes. It was disturbing that someone came in without a reservation and got a room before we did. The rest of our stay was very good. The room was very nice with refrigerator, microwave, flat screen tv, comfy bed, etc, The outdoor pool was very nice, although it didn't open until 10 AM. We wanted to go for a swim at least by 8 o'clock in the morning. A very good complimentary breakfast was available in a very nice setting which accommodated many people. The breakfast included an egg dish, waffles, cereal, toast, fruit, yogurt, donuts, coffee, and juices. The staff kept a close eye on replenishing supplies and cleaning tables as people left. So our stay here was very pleasant and we would return.

I want to sincerely apologize for the problems you had at check in and during your stay. We are putting in new procedures so this type of wait will never happen again. The pool not being open was an oversight which will not happen again, the correct hours are 8am till 10pm.

We stayed here for 2 nights in the 2 room suite 2nd floor. Had a few bumps in the road but overall good... Requested a roll away and it didnt make it to the room so we called and it was brought to us with a bunch of pillow cases instead of sheets, being that it was later at night I can understand that, sheets were promptly brought to us, there was some sort of stain on one of the sheets so we made who i think was the head housekeeper aware of it and she immediately got us new sheets and mattress pad. The noise of children running in halls got a bit annoying and im sure thats why we got a call saying we were being too loud though we were all asleep. Breakfast was ok, I had to finish cooking the egg casserole to my liking in the microwave(they have to be really done), but the waffles, boiled eggs, and coffee were Great.. Didnt have time to try out the pool, and the music sounded great when we passed through the lobby.. Management/ Staff did a great job making things right and we look forward to staying here again in the near future.

Thank you for writing a review of our hotel. I first want to deeply apologize for the problems you encountered at our hotel. The confusion with the rollaway bed has been addressed, so I will not happen again. Front desk will review request more closely and the housekeeping staff will always ensure all rollaway beds have the proper linen with the bed.
The front desk has been instructed to go to the room and listen for any noises, before calling any room about a noise complaint.
I’m very happy that you found breakfast to be good, and you enjoyed the music from the Piano Bar and Bistro. Hopefully, the next time you stay with us you will be able to enjoy the pool and the Piano Bar Bistro.

Let me start by saying the staff, including Michael and Ashley, was wonderful. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was good as well. My only complaint was that our room smelled very musty. I didn't ask to move however, so I can not really complain too much. There was a full-house, so it was very busy. I had my key card reset 3 times because it stopped working every time we left...but again they were quick to respond and very polite. The location is about 20 mins from the beach and other attractions as well. I would stay here again.

We stayed three nights in mid April and enjoyed our spacious two room suite. The furnishings were older but in good shape. Bedding was very comfortable and provided a good night’s sleep. This is definitely an older property that in many areas is showing its age. However, management informed us they are in the process of making improvements and we can attest to changes that have taken place, particularly in the cocktail lounge / dining area that is one of the major highlights of this hotel. Thursday thru Saturday evenings starting at 6 PM, Al Martin is the featured bistro pianist playing good old fashioned harmonies. The man is absolutely amazing in his ability to play every tune from memory when requested to play a song. The dance floor was frequently occupied by couples dancing to old time tunes. The entire staff was excellent, particularly at the front desk when we were greeted each time we entered the building. The pool is located in a central courtyard, protected from the wind off the bay, and had plenty of chairs and chaise lounges. The breakfast area is huge with plenty of tables. Unfortunately, the food served was less than satisfactory. Very poor variety and limited selection of items which is rather strange in light of having a “restaurant” within the hotel. Our first two mornings had only waffles as a choice. No eggs, biscuits & gravy, etc. . . just waffles. After complaining to management, there was a tasty egg casserole the last morning but when it was consumed, nothing replaced it while we were there. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but not sure about returning again other than to enjoy the piano player in the lounge.

Room Tip: No elevator so get a room on the first floor.
