Came on Sunday. Father's Day! Brunch menu. Had the grouper po boy and soft shelled po boy. Both delicious and freshly made for you. Sat outside. The fans make area tolerable with heat. Great food. Enjoyed it. Great service from Dean. This was our first time. Don't be fooled by appearance....worth the drive for us.

Didn't make a reservation so had to wait quite a while. Baked spicy oysters were great. BBQ shrimp was very good. Disappointed in the shrimp and grits, it wasn't what was expected. However, a place to try if you're in the area.

We enjoyed the atmosphere and views from the covered patio. Fried Shrimp, Fried Catfish, and Cajun Macaroni were excellent! Worth the visit but come for an early dinner to avoid a long wait to get a table.

I have no complain about this place: simply perfect. I went with my girlfriend, we pay $39 (including 3 beers) and we couldn't finish the food on the table. Must try the bbq Cajun Shrimps. And the waiter was super nice, explaining and suggesting to us the best in the restaurant. I will go again for sure!

We have stayed on Perdido Key for years but hadn't eaten here. After reading the reviews we made a reservation and decided to try it. We called to make the reservation and were told the fryers were down but they'd take the reservation and to call back and make sure they were open later. We called & they were open so we kept our reservation. We arrived around 8:30 and the place was 1/2 empty so not sure why we needed the reservation, maybe it's busier earlier. We got our drinks right away and had our order taken but it must have taken over 30-40 minutes to get our appetizer. During that wait one table was seated and they got so sick of waiting they asked for their check after the drinks and left. The family that was seated at the table next to us sat so long without drinks they got up to find their waiter who, once he got to the table, apologized and said "he forgot and that the restaurant had just received a new award and they get really busy right after they get an award". Mind you, the place was 1/2 empty, not busy at all. They were out of a long list of items including soft shell crab (what I wanted) so I got blackened fish. My husbands salad (which looked very good) came out literally 1 minute before the meal so he could've eaten a nice cold salad and then a cold meal or a hot meat and warm salad. He opted for the hot meal... The food was very good (not exceptional) and was pretty pricey ($18 per plate and not a lot of food). Get the seafood macaroni & cheese, stay away from the fried okra (not made fresh and was served cold). One of the kids got a burger which he said was good but the french fries are wedges and you get 4 of them. The "dive" atmosphere is only kind of. It's a shack where everyone who walkes by on the patio causes it to shake but then they try to spruce it up with cloth napkins (I guess so you feel better about the prices). They might be better served sticking with being a very good dive instead of a mediocre semi-fancy restaurant. Questionable if we'll be back.
