This was a delightful find after visiting historic downtown Pensacola. We ordered Pepperoni & Italian Sausage pizza. The waitress was so nice she ordered one slice “spicy” just for me. Ms. Vicky will meet you in the waiting room to ask for your drink. The kitchen is open so you can watch the chef "toss the show" and entertain customers. The wood fired pizza is delicious, staff is excellent, & it is a lively place to eat.

A+’s – Thanks!

We went on a Saturday night and had a good 30 minute wait but it was worth it. They needed more staff in my opinion especially on a Saturday. That being said the pizza was amazing. Especially the seafood pizza.

This restaurant has nice atmosphere, and wonderful food. Our family of five had appetizers, pizza, calzones, and a couple soups. Everyone raved about the food.

Service was also very good. The elderly receptionist was a little "icy," but not overwhelmingly so. But the rest of the staff seemed friendly enough.

Unfortunately, signs of laziness with regard to cleanliness abound in this restaurant. And from my point of view, that's almost unforgivable.

They have a cute menu, which is a parchment style paper tied in "steno-pad" style to a hard-board on the back. It's kind of home-made, and quaint. Unfortunately, it appears that the pages haven't been replaced in a long, long time. They were wrinkled and dirty on everyone's menu. But far, far worse was what we all saw when we looked up at the ceiling.

It must be years since anyone has cleaned the overhead metalwork and the drop-ceiling in this restaurant. The 2 x 2 drop-ceiling tiles were absolutely horrifying. "Dust bunnies" the size of monarch butterflies hung from the edges next to the metal support frames. There was a fuzzy, black rim around many of those tiles...worse in the area over the wood-fired oven. About a dozen of the tiles we could see from our table were water damaged and stained. The entire set of ceiling tiles was so old and weary they bowed down out of their frames and hung above the dining tables as if they were buckling from weight overhead.

It would take two restaurant staff people a couple hours to take down and throw away all those tiles. And believe me, there's not a tile in that ceiling worth putting back in the frame. I don't know how any caring restaurant owner could walk around under that disgusting ceiling day after day and not notice. I noticed the filth on the ceiling within five minutes of sitting at our table. Surely the staff couldn't have been working there all these years since the restaurant opened and not see the filth over their heads...and over the food.

If they ever replace that rats-nest of a drop ceiling I'll rush back to enjoy a meal. But as long as those tiles are up there I won't be back.

Forget all of the other pizza places in Pensacola; they have NOTHING on the Tuscan Oven! The owners are an absolute delight! They are very friendly & make you feel right at home! We live the margherita pizza. The ingredients are fresh and the cheese is out of this world! It is not store bought packaged stuff, it's the real deal! The Tuscan salad is great as well as the pasta al forno. Make sure you get a cannoli for dessert.
