Ate lunch here based upon others' recommendations. Still trying to scope out the best place to bring a large family group in July-everyone likes good seafood at decent prices. Prices here at the Bay were decent and drinks inexpensive. Service could have been better but was OK. So we ordered the gulf shrimp basket and the scallop basket. Shrimp were OK, a little moist and breading a little heavier than I like. Something about them just didn't look like other shrimp we've had here. Scallops were a little suspicious in that they were all perfectly round and exactly the same size, breading was like the shrimp. The hush puppies were spongey and fries were the type that are coated with something to make them crisp up in the fryer. Cole slaw was average. We did not order any alcoholic drinks for lunch but after questioning if the seafood here was really fresh from the area we wonder how authentic a drink is for the price of $2.50 or so. Many comfort foods on the menu with good lunch special prices. I'd compare this with an Applebee's kind of place. Seems like the food might be from Gordon Foods or some other big supplier. We would return if we were looking for a burger, liver and onions, or spaghetti. They do serve Coke products which was a plus for me.
