“Very educational and beautiful sunset!”
Reviewed September 15, 2013

Our family went to the pier for a beautiful sunset but we got much more than that! There were several fishermen bringing in their catch and they were more than willing to take time to show our grandchildren. We saw men baiting hooks with fish, big enough to eat for supper. They took the time to explain to us what they were attempting to catch. We saw several dolphins weaving in and out around the pier. For the $3. fee, it's a bargain for the education and sunset!

“Love The Pier”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

Love fishing on this pier. Catch tons of fish. Never know what you are gonna catch. Caught shark, stingray, catfish, ladyfish, and spanish. Pier is cleaned everyday and people are fishing it anytime of the day or night. A nice place to walk and spectate also.

“What a great time bonding.”
Reviewed August 23, 2013

The pier was very clean and well maintained. We had a great time reeling in black snapper and just spending quiet, quality time together as a family. The tackle shop at the end of the pier is run by some really nice knowledgible people. I would recommend getting there early and spending the entire day in the area. There is alot to do during the heat of the day and them you can go back and fishing more in the evening.

“First time but not the last”
Reviewed August 18, 2013

This was our first trip out on the pier. We visited it in the evening to watch the sunset over the water which was gorgeous. It was still bright enough and the water clear enough to see several marine animals and fish swimming in the water. The walk to the end of the quater mile pier and back is very relaxing. My daughters enjoyed watching all the fishermen. There are benches along the length of the pier so you can sit and enjoy the view. The construction is very sturdy so you don't feel any movement caused by the waves below. There are several small free standing shops at the entrance to the pier as well as a restaurant / bar. There is a public beach access entrance next to the pier. It is open 24/7 and is well lit at night. The admission is $3 per person with children 5 and under free.

“Great place to fish, read a book and watch the sunset”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

Enjoyed visiting here again and reading a book, watching the sunset and taking photos. My husband and son both fished here prior and on this visit 2 nights in a row. Great time, they caught catfish, several sharks, and some bait fish...mackerel weren't running this time; but they enjoyed the fishing. Very clean pier; that is well maintained; bathrooms available mid point of pier and also at the entrance building. Bait can be purchased at the pier store; and is better than buying bait from the local Wal-Mart fishing dept. Great views and family atmosphere; with lots of kids fishing from here as well as adults. Chairs/coolers allowed; no alcohol, or lounge type chairs, no high heels on the pier..it's open 24/7....pay to fish or just to observe...will visit again.
