We went to Panama City Beach to fish for red snapper. Jubilee Fishing has two boats that operate out of the Treasure Island Marina. The first day we went out on the Treasure Island Boat. There were 46 anglers on this 6 hour trip and everyone caught a good many fish and practically everyone caught the 2 fish limit of red snapper. My husband and I both caught 2 really nice size red snappers. We caught more than 2 but couldn't keep but 2 each due fo Florida fishing regulations. The crew was helpful and friendly. The Treasure Island Boat does not have food/drink for sale on board so if you take this trip, be sure to take a cooler with you. It was HOT on this July day but we had a very good time. The second day we were only able to book the 5 hour trip on the Jubilee. While the crew was very friendly and helpful, there were just too many anglers on the boat. A total of 79 folks were trying to fish alongside 5-6 deckhands. There were way too many tangles and too many fishing in one spot. Most people caught a few small and there were a few red snapper caught but only a few.
My biggest complaint with the Jubilee and Treasure Island is that you don't get enough fishing time. On the 6 hour trip, we got about 2.5 hours of fishing time and on the 5 hour trip, we got about 2 hours of fishing. The rest of the time is spent riding out to the fishing grounds or moving around with about an hour of the time moving in/out of the harbor at idle speed.
