“Nice & Quiet Place in West PCB for Some R & R”
Reviewed September 7, 2012

We just spent another great week here at Latitude 29 and were so lucky to have beautiful weather leaving the day Isaac came rolling in. We love staying here because it's a nice and quiet place away from the crowds yet convenient to so many places. Because Latitude 29 is a low-rise condo complex and has on-site management, there is a much higher comfort level here than those high-rises. Every condo has a great front view of the Gulf of Mexico! Just beyond the beautiful pool area that stretches from one end of the complex to the other is the cool white sandy beach and the emerald green waters of the gulf. Everyone is so friendly here and being from the south too, we love that! We'll be back next year!

Room Tip: For families with small children, it might be best to stay on the pool level. For people with disab...

We just completed our second stay at Latitude29 and our level of satisfaction was just a great as our first stay. This place is a wonderful place (even though on the west end) who wants all the hubub of the places near the Pier. We try and get a different condo each year to enjoy the differences in the places that are offered. You are only minutes from Thomas Donuts and also the best lunches on the beach. You have a local grocery store just minutes away that offers everything you might need to stock the kitchen. This is the place for groceries while there or if you want the chains there is a Publix and Wynn Dixie within minutes as well. Cindy and crew at the condo's are the best and are more than willing to help with anything that you bring to them. There are things that you need to look for when searching the condo before booking, such as wireless internet or what floor that you want, but that is part of the fun in making the reservation. This is a jewel on the Emerald Beach and we are already getting ready to plan for the trip next year.

We had 4 nights here. The condos are right on the beach on the quiet end. The unit was nicely decorated, well appointed and extremly clean...including the oven and the inside of the white dishwasher and microwave. Our unit was on the top floor with a nice size balcony and stunning views! The staff were friendly and efficient. We loved it and will defintely return.

Room Tip: We found that the pictures on their website were very accurate.

This is our 3rd visit to PCB but the 1st and not last stay at Latitude 29! Everyone was very courteous. Our condo was clean and comfy. Beach was amazing! Weather could have been better. We enjoyed our stay!

We normally stay in one of the high rises in PCB, but lately have started reading tripadvisor when deciding on places to eat or stay when we go on vacation.

We decided to take a chance on Latitude 29 because it is the number 1 rated place to stay in PCB. We are used to big complexes with large pools, water slides, bars and such thinking that is what our kids would be happy with. But the overall atmosphere in these places was always pretty hectic and we often felt stressed out just trying to get to our room from the parking lot that always was a long way from lobby of the condo. Then we always had to wait for an elevator to get to our room. Plus once you got to the pool, it was a big hassle to go back to the room.

So we saw that Latitude 29 was a small complex. It's on the west side of PCB. We never thought of going out that way other than one time when we went to get donuts at Thomas's doughnuts (another great place by the way!)

I see my story is getting to long (I talk too much also!) so I'll try to finish quickly. Latitude 29 was wonderful! Small complex, walk directly out to the pool (45 seconds-tops). Very, very friendly people that work there. In fact the people who manage the place actually live there so when they leave the office, they are usually around the pool area enjoying the complex as much as the guests.

The kids loved the place. You could be on the beach in a few seconds and we never had a problem knowing where they were.

The condo we stayed in was very comfortable and every condo faces the pool and beach. The owners say they have the " Best backyard on the Beach" and I now understand what they are talking about.

Sorry for the long drawn out review, but sometimes I just can't stop talking. We are finished with the big high rises. We are definitely coming back to Latitude 29!

I recently stayed at Latitude 29 for several days. I had booked the room well in advance and received a confirmation quote via email. At the conclusion of my stay, The condos had raised the rates without ever notifying me. Not beforehand; not when the rates changed; not when I checked in, and there was nothing in the confirmation suggesting the rates might change. It is highly irregular to change the amount charged after confirmation at any rate. This is never done at hotels. My stay was pleasant enough despite the very limited office hours, but I doubt I will stay there again. If I ever do, I'll confirm the rates before I leave home and at check out.

Room Tip: first floor - on beach, second floor - one flight of stairs, third floor - up two flights of stairs

We were sorry for the misunderstanding that this guest had concerning his rental rate during his July 2012 stay with us. The guest reserved a unit in July of 2011 for a stay in July 2012. Each December we publish our rental rates for the upcoming year on our website. The rates clearly show that they are for the current calendar year. The published rate schedule does not suggest or imply that the rate is valid for any other year other than the current year. The schedule also states “rates are subject to change” even though we have never changed the rate at any point during the year.

Again we are sorry that this guest misunderstood the published rate schedule. We are however pleased to hear that his stay was pleasant enough otherwise and wish to note that while our office hours are 9am-4pm 7days a week, unlike other large complexes in the area, our managers are onsite 24/7, ready welling and able to make sure our guests are having a great stay at "The Best Backyard on the Beach!

Great place for families! The beach is the best we have seen so far. This was our third stay at LAT29 since July 2011. Winter time rates are unbeatable, though summer rates are a bit high.
We have already reserved one of our favorite units for December 2012. If you want to get a really good unit (updated and best views etc...), you would usually need to reserve it 4-5 months ahead of time.

Room Tip: Top floors are the best for us.
