You will love Carillon Inn in Carillon Beach, a neo-traditional, gulf-front town village entirely on the beach side of the main highway. Carillon seems like the new central location in the panhandle. It is near the upcoming international airport, the new upscale Pier Park village (pier, boardwalk, shops, Margaritaville, cafes, etc.), and the other village towns. Nearby there are championship golf courses and all kinds of water recreation.

With three bodies of water, Carillon is contiguous to one of the world's few, and largest coastal dune lakes, as well as about a mile of gulf beach. Of all the area villages, we think this is the most beautiful beach . . . no gulf-side pasture of bramble bushes, & no flat beach . . . just seas oats & soft white sand dunes--looks like it snowed in drifts by almost Caribbean green waters. Walking west on the beach, you soon encounter a natural preserve, Camp Helen.

The Carillon Inn pool/spa is fabulous, with palm trees built into the sides. There is a lovely first floor gathering place as well as Leaping Frog Wine Bar with a certified sommelier, and outdoor seating by Lake Carillon. The tennis courts are by lovely landscaping. In summer there are free Monday night outdoor concerts. Ring the bell at the lovely lake-view meeting hall approximately 30-minute delightful, but casual inter-denominational Sunday church service.

Several times, we have stayed in the especially clean one and two-bedroom suites (kitchenettes w/full size fridge, living room w/fold out sofa, balcony) Carillon Inn, occupying top floors for expansive views of the sun setting over the gulf; and also the ground floor to walk right out to Lake Carillon, and the little village of charming cafes/shops/bike rentals/lake-view, state-of-the-art fitness center.

Ride a golf cart , bike, or better yet, walk to really see every inch of the gorgeous town architecture and pristine beauty. Be sure and enjoy the lush prominades (pedestrian walking paths). You cannot beat Carillon Inn--it's the greatest!

We stayed here over spring break with 3 small children. The lake view from the rooms is beautiful. It's a short walk to the beach but not too much for our 2 and 6 year olds. if you don't want to walk, the staff will transport you anywhere on the property in a golf cart. Rooms are spacious and well furnished, granite countertops in kitchen, 2 large TV's in each room. The beach is HUGE and CLEAN, 3, soon to be 4, pools, 3 hot tubs, children's playground all within walking distance. No need to worry about traffic. the Muddy Rudder restaurant has good food at very reasonable prices with kid friendly Karoke on Thursday nights. We had a blast!

I stayed here over the weekend and I have to say all I could do was relax and enjoy the great views from my unit. Granite counters tops and stainless steal appliances. Very spacious and updated furnishings in the room.4 pools to pick from and a kiddie pool .The property sits on a lake and has outstanding views. It is not on the beach but you can get a view of the gulf and it is a short 4-7 min walk to the beach or they will shuttle you and pick you up, it is down town Carillon which has small unique shops the Dirty Dog Restaurant and Graffiti’s with excellent home made pizzas and a grouper sandwich that is huge. It has one of the largest pools I have seen in the area. They also have a wine bar (Leaping Frog) in the lobby with live entertainment (Jazz) out side on the patio lit by Tiki torches and the owner is there and very friendley. This is a great place to have fun and to relax. Having a wedding they are the perfect place to come, they had a wedding ea. day in the small park and they were very nice. It is so quiet there during the day. I can only say this would be a great place for long term resident’s weekend get away or just meeting up with some friends at the wine bar. I hope you have as good of a time as I did. Don’t think twice.
