My family and I stayed at your Condos June 20, 2013. The check-in staff and customer service was terrible. They were not friendly at all, and after traveling for 10 hours, the least you can expect is for the front desk staff to be courteous and at least make you feel wanted and welcome. We stayed at your Condos in September of 2012 and that's why we chose to stay there again. The first time we stayed in September, it was not explained to us that we would not have beach front rooms. We stayed in Tower #2, even though we weren't on the beach, the rooms were great! We didn't not like the Condos on the beach side. They were worn out and you could tell the difference in the rooms in the other towels. The first impression from the front desk staff made my family feel uncomfortable. The guy that was working the front desk would not even acknowledge me and he wasn't even helping anyone. I told my brother and he purposely went to the guy for the guy to assist him with check-in with no problem. Other than the front desk staff at check-in and the rooms on the beach side. GREAT PLACE TO STAY!!!

Room Tip: If you love the view of the ocean/beach, choose Tower #1, but if you want nicer rooms, don't choose ocean front.

I found this property sort or last minute, as we waited a while to plan a beach trip this year. We were pleasantly surprised. We arrived on July 6 and it was VERY busy. We arrived late and hotel security offered to let us leave our vehicle parked in the temporary loading/unloading parking at the bottom of tower #2, where our room was located. This saved a little bit of hassle as normal parking is on the bottom floors of tower #1, across the street.

We arrived to a very clean room. It had everything we could have wanted/needed. It definitely made the week less stressful to find there was nothing dirty or inconvenient about the room.

The elevators were a bit of a hassle, as there were only three to service the entire 20-something floors. Compounding the problem, many people would give up the wait and take the stairs. Therefore, when you finally DID get an elevator, it was a slow trip down as you stopped on practically every floor and often to find no one there even waiting! But, it's a highrise condo on the beach at peak summer travel season....It happens. It was only a real bother once during the whole week. Otherwise, it was tolerable. The lobby/elevator area did get a bit wet and sandy at times. Perhaps a tad more attention could have been paid there.

We easily secured the beach chairs we wanted to rent for the week from the service on the beach. And we usually had enough room to setup our own umbrella closer to the water without being crowded or in anyone else's way.

All in all, it was a very nice, hassle-free experience. We had three kids in tow (6/8/10) and the unit we were in was large enough so that they were not on top of each other. There were even enough TV's for everyone. The Grand Panama is a long drive down Front Beach Road to Pier Park, one of the more popular attractions. But you can take back roads and shorten the travel time considerably. It's also not very far from Wonderworks and Ripley's Believe It or Not, two places my kids insist on going every time we go to Panama City...

Room Tip: Tower #2 is the one located on the beach. Tower #1 is across the road.

We stayed here the week of July 7th for six nights. Our two bedroom unit on the
ninth floor of tower one was beautiful . Beds were clean and comfortable and the ac ac blew nice and cold. The pool was very nice, crowded but to be expected. Due to the rains the prior week there was a lot if runoff from a drain pipe close to the ocean which spewed nasty brown water into the swimming area for the first two days.
The elevators were slow and crowded but that seems to be a common theme in all the buildings down there. Overall a great vacation

After driving 11 hours and finally checking into this place, trying to find luggage carts to unload was like trying to find a nettle in a hay stack. After waiting 20 mins for one we decide to carry everything by hand. Parking is in tower 2 and you have to cross a catwalk then board an elevator with no air conditioning. You also will have to wait another 10 or 15 mins for the next one being that not only guest use the elevators but "housing keeping" as well. Finally getting into the room a first glance everything looked amazing! Soon after we discovered the lamps didn't work, missing doorknobs, balcony door locks broken, some of the furniture was either wobbling or broken off. The beds were very uncomfortable! Felt like sleeping on cardboard. Then neighbors above us each morning woke up at 6am and sounded like they were moving furniture around for over an hour! And lastly, the pool area was always crowded, never could get a chance in the hot tub after the sun was starting to settle. The beach was also extremely crowded and filled with litter from the guest. Almost stepped on a piece of beer bottle glass, I picked up a pair of cooking thongs that were left out there. Overall the only good thing I can say is its a nice view of the ocean. But I will never stay here again definitely not worth the money!

Thank you for providing us your feedback. We strive to exceed our guest expectations from the time they arrive to their departure. We realize it does get busy this time of year with the elevators and the pool area and will discuss your comments with the staff.

The Grand Panama Resort is beautiful. We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit, ocean front during the 4th of July. We really enjoyed our stay but I was a little disappointed in the cleaning of the room. There was hair in the shower and bathroom drawers. The ceiling fans and baseboards were dirty with dust. I felt for 2400 dollars for a 6 day, 5 night stay it should have been spotless. There was not television in the second bedroom which was disappointing for my son. The elevators were very slow and parking was unreal. I realize we stayed during a busy time. The room had 4 towels and washclothes. We were told that's all that came with the room and we would have to wash them or be charged extra for more. Overall we were happy with our stay but for the price I think they could do better. We would consider staying there again.

Room Tip: Great view of the ocean.
