We love this state park to visit for day trips. This time, we did a quick overnight stay in our trailer. The staff was nice. We used ReserveAmerica (dot com) to do the reservations, which are always well done.
The restrooms were clean, and the dump station was tidy. The campground was full, but didn't feel crowded. The views from most of the campsites were excellent. We got the last pull-through site, and it had a partial concrete "pad", but wasn't super level. We didn't have any problems with it, though, and there was plenty of room to park the truck and our stuff. There was a fire ring, and a well-built picnic table.
We had no problems with the water nor electric, and as I said earlier, the dump station was neat and tidy, even though we left kind of late (behind lots of other campers).
The day use and campground areas of the park are relatively well separated, but within an easy walk or bike ride (or drive), if you wanted to visit them.
Lots of wildlife - we saw deer practically every time we drove through the park during our short stay.
I would thoroughly recommend this state park campground!More
