I stayed with my coworker at this Holiday Inn during Hurricane Michael. We arrived a day before the storm and were able to enjoy the comfort and hospitality under normal conditions. The room was modern and comfortable. The bedding was great. Bathroom modern and spacious. I also enjoyed the pool area though the hot tub could have been warmer. This hotel really shined during the hurricane. They treated guests as family. On the morning of the storm they provided free breakfast to all. It was very good. Bobby the server was super nice and professional. Once the storm started to hit the safety of the guests was priority. As rooms began to sustain damage guest were moved to the ballroom for safety. First aid supplies were put out.
After the storm was over there was substantial damage to at least a dozen rooms with blown out walls/windows. There was also water damage to most rooms and hallways. Of course power and water was out. We were allowed to stay as there was no where for us to go and we still needed to work the hurricane for our TV station. Food and drink was provided to all guests. Even ice cream was served as the hotel cleared their food supplies. Thank you for taking care of us and great stay.More
