It's been a bit difficult finding a great seafood platter (fried) in Panama City (not the beach) lately. Saw Sue's new location advertised (first time ad) on TV last Tuesday as we were deciding where we might eat. We chose to try Sue's and we were NOT disappointed. Very nice warm, casual restaurant halfway between Lynn Haven & Panama City. Perfect location for us, as we're locals. The place was packed for a Tuesday, but no waiting. The seafood was wonderful! Their other dishes of Shrimp Creole and Shrimp J. Michael are excellent as well. The prices are very reasonable. Enjoy!!!

Decided to stop in because of a recommendation. We were seated quickly because it was after the normal lunch hours and the place was not that busy. I ordered a varied selection to include fried oysters, cheese grits, gumbo and fried okra. The oysters were varied in size with some being really small. I did like the selection of different sauces that were serve. The gouda cheese grits were not that great and the rest was just ho hum. I wanted the experience, have had it, enough said.

This place gets a lot o positive reviews so who am I to argue? I found the service a little slow and the personality of our serve seemed "forced " like he didn't really want to be there that day. I found the prices high and the food lackluster and smaller potions than others in the area.

Sue's has a cozy at home atmosphere. Fast seating and friendly staff. They have tasty meals made to order like Shrimp & Grits! Yum! The menu changes at times so call if you want to know what they have that day. For the sports fans like my husband, there's a big screen TV over the bar. Great assortment of beer and wine too! Also fresh shucked raw oysters in season! Worth a try.
