“Fresh local seafood”
Reviewed August 3, 2012

Angelo and Sons is a nicer restaurant not a quick sit-down. The seafood is fresh and of good quality, not to disappoint. The catch of the day was excellent with great hush puppies on the side, Grouper was also very good. They have a wide range of food to also serve basic sandwhiches, in addition to various pasta dishes, along with the seafood choices. It maybe pricer compared to the other restaurants in the area, but is a nice sit-down establishment, so not a good comparision.

Great food and atmosphere. I tried some of everyone's food and nothing was bad.
I had blackened grouper and fried oysters.

We have been enjoying the wonderful food and atomsphere of Angleo's for over two decades, the food was so wonderful that we bought a house down there! Always a great evening when we go.

“Don't waste your money!”
Reviewed June 17, 2012

The prices are fine dining prices (avg $23-$27/plate), yet almost everything is fried. Not to mention, sides are fried, and for a vegetable, you have to pay $3-4 extra! We ordered Greek style broiled Mahi. It was $4 extra to be prepared this way. Wasn't bad, but wasn't great either. My son got a steak sandwich, and they put pickles and mustard on it. The cheese grits looked and tasted gross, the asparagus was slathered in butter and worcester sauce. The kids' popcorn shrimp and fries were so bad neither touched them, and we hadn't eaten all day. Terrible experience for a bill of over $100.00.

“AWESOME DINNER!”
Reviewed May 12, 2012 via mobile

OMG, what a GREAT DINNER!

We're traveling through the area and will spend two night at the Holiday Campground right across the street from Angelos & Son's. This was our last night in the area so we decided to dine here. It is an upscale restaurant compared to the other restaurants in the area. We sat outside and the view was wonderful. It was a clear night and very romantic. Although tomorrow is Mother's Day I considered this my Monther's Day dinner.

Some reviews said it was pricy but you get what you pay for. We are from Ft. Lauderdale and didn't find this too pricy. Like I said you get what you pay for.

We had Miller lite for $3.00 a bottle and a glass of house Chardonnay for $5.50 and it was very good.

We had an order of 12 Sunray sautéed clams with tomatoes, garlic, onions & mushrooms & garlic toast for $8.95. They were out of this world. We used the bread to soak up all the juices. It was a special of the day.

I ordered grouper parm with thin pasta, maninera sauce and garlic bread. The grouper was fried & wonderful. That came with a salad. It was a special of the day and was $20.95.

My husband ordered the stuffed fish of the day which happened to be rock bass for $15.95. He said it was very good. He also got a soup which was a spicy crab chowder which he enjoyed.

All the meals coming out looked great.

For lunch we happened to drive past Angelo & Son's, Tropical Trader Shrimp Company on Coastal Highway and decided to stop. We didn't realize until we asked if it were owned by the same people. Yes, a son & his wife own this restaurant. There is no place to write a review for this restaurant but if you happen to see it stop in. It is a far more laid back atmosphere & not as big but the food was good. We ordered 2 dozen raw oysters which were of medium size and very good. Plus we ordered an order of the smoked shrimp dip which was very good. We also had 4 Miller Lite's. The total bill came to $25.12 without the tip. Very nice place.

We both feel that we would definitely stop back to both of these restaurants as both are different but both are VERY GOOD!
