Peaceful, uncrowded preserve with several pleasant trails through the woods and mangroves. Bordered by Terra Ceia bay on one side and the Manatee river on the other, this narrow stretch of park is home to a variety of waterfowl and birds.

Great place to visit. Hiking trails, kayak boat launch, fishing spots and birdwatching galore. Be sure to visit the tower. Even find several geocaches if you are so inclined!!

We live near Emerson Point and always forget how beautiful and quiet it is out there. Nice nature trails. They have a kayak launch. Great place to take in a quiet sunset without having to go out to the beach. They are dog friendly I believe and the view of the Skyway Bridge is awesome. Just remember, don't tell anyone.

This place is beautiful! It has a beach that faces the Sunshine Skyway. There you can see people walking peacefully (with or without dogs :-). The preserve has trails where you can enjoy the trees and the (lots of!) birds. It also has a beautiful pond (you can sit on a bench and admire it). My kids favorite place was the Observation Tower. There you have a great view of the surroundings and, if you go at the right time, you can be delighted by a breathtaking sunset, like we did. The Visitor's Center has clean bathrooms. There are several parking lots along the way to the different park highlights (Observation Tower, pond, beach...). Ah! And the admission is free!

This is a great nature preserve with many trails for easy walking. You can drive right up to the beach and to the start of the trails. I saw numerous birds and a friendly(?) raccoon! A great day trip.
